I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
It looks like The Spencer Davis group skunked CTA 10 -0.

I wish I'd seen this earlier to make sure CTA got at least one vote. Gotta got with the version I've actually seen performed live.

He was a lead guitarist in a league with Jimi Hendrix - this according to no less an authority than Hendrix himself. After hearing the band in 1968 at the Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, Hendrix told Chicago saxophone player Walter Parazaider "Your guitar player is better than me." Hendrix was so shocked and amazed at his guitar abilities that he took him and the band on tour as the opening act on his and Janis Joplin's European tour in 1968. Allegedly, his was also one of the only times that Hendrix was actually floored by another guitarist. Rock critics, unfortunately didn't offer the same for Kath. Pop music critics seemed to rebuke Chicago with regularity during the band's hey days in the 1960s and 1970s.
I'm not bashing on Steve Winwood, but I don't see the need to bash on CTA, a band who been around for forever, has many accomplished musicians, and has produced many hits.

Actually I really like Chicago as a whole, moreso than Steve Winwood, which I only really like a few solo songs from.
Amen to that. I like Steve just fine, but I have many memories tied into Chicago's music.

Consider it no longer skunked. 10 -1.

SDG really beat out CTA because the CTA version was so long and disjointed I got bored in the middle of the song, but I still listened to the whole thing.

Wow, Terry Kath huh? That's amazing because I really don't hear him come up in a lot of conversations when it comes to great guitarists. I just finished a Jimi Biography and there's no mention of Kath at all. Billy Gibbons, yes; Kath, no. I think Jimi may have liked his playing, but Kath isn't one of the great guitarists nor should he be considered one.

Yes, because they they all such horrible musicians.
Dis you even know who Steve Winwood is? I seriously doubt you do because you'd never have made such an inaccurate statement.
Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jim Capaldi, Dave Mason, Chris Wood, Jim Gordon, Arturo Sandoval, Willie Weeks, Joe Walsh, Nile Rodgers, Randy Brecker, Walfredo Reyes Jr.
Arc of a Diver and Talking Back to the Night were recorded entirely by Steve Winwood.
Horrible musicians? Yeah, okay. Those artists above were all in bands with Winwood or performed on his releases.
The loss of Terry Kath is what ruined Chicago for me. Peter Cetera took the band in a direction that was probably good for the band members financially but didn't excite me much.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicago cover of I'm A Man and didn't find any of it boring but it still couldn't top the original.

Chicago just never really appealed to me. I like my horns funky and those guys while pretty good aren't that funky.
One of my favorite horn groups right now is a big band styled outfit called Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. Goodwin's amazing on his own, but he has some of the best playing with him and they jam like crazy.
