Not for me, no. I love the one man, his guitar and his harmonica show. So pure, so raw, so emotional. No glitz or high production values, just pure emotion.

Both are about the same for me, but I think I liked Emmylou's voice better.

My vote for Steve Earle

The latest exercise in driving me crazy by asking me to vote for one of two versions that are both wonderful.

But this time, you'ne gone too far, RE.

I love Steve Earle's original, OMG I do.

That said...Emmylou's version is enough to make a grown man cry. And it did. So let me investigate further by sorting it all out: I'm watching a music vid, listening to an incredible song written by Steve Earle, sung in heartbreaking fashion by Emmylou Harris and here's these desolate images of the desert and I'm thinking about Gram Parsons.
