I used him a few times on Secret Society teams which lack damage reducers in modern age pieces. Teamed with Psycho-Pirate and Ocean Master (With a bucket of water), they mopped the floor with my opponents. Mainly due to the 8 range and HSS and 4 damage click from this guy. Is he the best? No. Is there better pieces for the cost? Plenty, but he has his uses. He's not SI Mephesto for cripes sake...:devious:
I'm so glad WizKids finally made him... but the end result is one of my biggest disappointments in HeroClix. Is he awful? No. I love the dial design, but he can't hit anything in the current game. Just boost his attack by 1 down the dial, and you've got a 4 star figure. As it is, he's next to useless.

When it comes to Superman and Batman, Grant Morrison is nothing but a 50's cover band in a 70's psychedelic funk style.
Garbage. For 144 points, he needs to hit something. 4 damage with mind control and tk means you're wasting points. HSS with regen means you're wasting points. Having his most effective click in the middle means you're wasting points when he gets hit right by it. Sure, perplex and not so special help him be decent but add perplex and no so special to most qualifying modern figures in his point range and they'll be better.
Wow....talk about not seeing the forest for the trees. Such whiney amateurs downing a piece that isn't the exact same as every other piece. What I see on this dial are the powers of a 160-180pt hypersonic brawler. But with the powers of a 55-90pt mind control/perplex support piece. The only difference is all of these great powers are on one dial. Im sorry players don't like to be given something new and refreshing. They want the same ol combo/compatability power figure. This figure opens up a mixture of options and abilities that many other figures don't have all at once.

I see what you did there.

Paying 144 points for a 9 attack top-dial is neither new nor refreshing. I dig the powers. It's his numbers that leave me less that impressed. A single click of 10 attack mid-dial is bordering on useless, even when this guy was new.
Some figures benefit from the Not So Special feat. For my boy Comet here, it's mandatory. Does it make him playable at 147 pts? Yeah, if barely. Does it make him GOOD? Not really, at best he's passable compared to other tentpoles from his generation. But dammit, Comet here is just one of those figures I WANT to make work, not least because we'll probably never see him again and his series (the 2006 Mystery in Space remake mini) was a fun sci-fi romp. I wonder which Power Battery would breathe the most life into the good captain...
Worst character in the set. The attack is abysmal, the damage mediocre, and a character of his cost has no business using Incapacitate or Mind Control with only one target, nor moving stuff with TK. The lack of move and attack, on clicks 2-5, makes him quite lame. Psychic Blast would have served him a lot better at the beginning of his dial.
