I'm really waiting to hear a report from someone who's played him. I WANT to like this fig so much, but he's just sooo expensive! I just don't see why. Is it for the mid-dial regen? For that huge heap of points, it's criminal that he doesn't have indomitable. I gave him a 3 for comic accuracy on that.

Quintessence team ability "Characters using the Quintessence team ability do not take pushing damage and their powers cannot be countered..." so there is your indomitable plus no fear of outwit. That is worth a lot of points especially on a dial this long. I am a mediocre player at my best and Ganthet makes even me dangerous.

Ya i'm totally retarded for forgetting that Quintessence has built-in Indomitable. Sorry about that. If you couldn't tell, i don't get to play very much.

I think he's good, just maybe the regen was placed wrong... pitted him, BN Green Lantern, and 75 Stewart against the violet lantern corps (all of them) and for a while nothing got through, until he was given an action token on the first regen click he was smashed into... then as I had to wait, I was beaten out of it then beaten to KO.

I understand why he costs so much, but it doesn't mean I'll be paying it. Putting the regen on click 5 was a huge mistake- 4 damage, with a heavy object and a failed Impervious roll, equals 299 points for your opponent.

Only if you let your opponent get that close to him...

I'll admit he is a big wallop of points so if you use him, exercise some caution. Over all I do enjoy his dial and TA's. He ends up being not only a powerhouse on the field but a great transport as well. His values also stay consistently fairly high and he doesn't experience any huge value drops. Overall I would say he is a great character, but be careful with what kind of battles you throw him into.

Breaking it down, 300 is a lot to spend on a taxi. He shoulda had Defend or Prob or something useful to start, as his membership in the Corps would attest. The GravFeed version is much better unless you are hope-bent on playing Blue Lantern Corps. For 2 points less there is Phoenix, and for 4 less there is Odin. For 13 less you get the box-set version, who begins with Leadership and TK, arguably more playable than a Pulsewaving uber-taxi without running shot whose keywords make his TA thematicly pointless. Ganthet? More like Gag-et.

Somehow, I feel that this is what Parallax should have been (minus the GL TA of course) He's relatively dangerous, expensive, powerful, and has a good smattering of powerful abilities. And has the Cosmic keyword, so you could actually form a themed team! Go Parallax! On the Ganthet side of things, the sculpt looks like he's playing with Dippin' Dots. I like Dippin' Dots.

How is he supposed to carry anyone, let alone 8 people when he is 299 points!!! Even if it is a 400 game your still not going to be able to carry anywhere NEAR 8 people. The Green Lantern TA is a waste. He is fun for big games, but is pretty useless in tournaments. And where are the white powers!!!

Honestly he doesn't need the special powers, he's fine without them. I agree about the TA though, it's a waste of points and completely unecessary.

I charge/flurried him once with SI Namor holding a heavy object, he failed his impervious roll, landed on his regen click. Second attack was a crit landing him on his second regen click, and he was knocked into a wall and died. It was glorious!
