My vote is that if they reach LIVE! before the 3rd click they can heal. If they reach LIVE! on the third or greater click they cannot heal. Sabertooth isn't countering the power.
The more provocative question is how is this going to interact with the White Lantern LIVE! power. Specifically, if a White Lantern is dealt 3 clicks by Sabretooth, they click the dial twice and LIVE! appears. So they stop clicking. Can they be healed? Did they take two damage or three? (The prevailing opinion right now seems to be that they were dealt 3 clicks of damage even though they only clicked the dial twice.)
doesn't "damage taken" refer to how many times you actually click a figure? If Sabretooth hit common Wolverine on click 1 he would "deal" 3 damage but Wolverine would only "take" 2 damage because of toughness, right?

It's actually a little more complicated than that. Let's say a character has a printed 3 damage value and successfully hits a character with Toughness. The 3 damage value becomes damage dealt (but we are not done yet.) The damage dealt is reduced by 1 (Toughness) and becomes 2 damage dealt. So 2 damage is dealt. Then the character takes 2 damages. The numerical value of damage dealt is calculated after modifiers (from critical hits or damage reducers) are applid to it. So it would be 2 damage dealt and 2 damage taken.
The issue I raised was asked recently in regard to a White Lantern being knocked back and I do not believe we ever got a final answer on it.

In this scenario, I would think they wouldn't be able to heal. Stopping the dial isn't the same as not taking damage; if that were the case, then Bag Man taking 5 damage on his last click would not cause the attacker to take 5 damage.
Yeah, I guess that the Bag-Man precedent means that the White Lanterns (or Doomsday, or anyone else with a "stop clicking now" power) would still have taken three damage, even if they didn't take three clicks.

Totally disagree. The Bag-man precedent, as I have seen it explained, specifically contends that just because you hit your KO line with b-man does not mean you stop spinning your dial.
It is the complete opposite of what is being described here. But since I was totally off on the Bullseye ruling it's safe to bet that the complete opposite of what I say will apply here.

No, you may be right.
I am sure that the ruling will appear here soon after the set hits.

The Bombastic Bag-Man ruling is based on a faulty principle (just ask Hela), but I agree that it doesn't hold any value here for the reasons you pointed out. (Here you actually do stop clicking the dial.) That said, I expect the ruling to go the other way as well.
by the way....and i kinda doubt this needs to be said (but i will anyways in case the question arises), this also means no support either. regardless if you are near a white lantern object or not.
i realize Sabretooth doesn't 'counter' anything, but just saying this now just in case.
