I belive Lancelot is referring to Post #2 on this thread:
Do we extend Norm's comments to include the old Colossal Rules Sets which state the Colossals do not take Pushing damage due to their TA's to also ignore the Unavoidable Damage?
It may appear a little inconsistent to make exceptions to new rule wordings just to fit a few older figures, but I think in this instance the precedent would be worthwhile. We have 2 (seemingly) conflicting sets of rules documents, which would significantly change the playability of high-priced figures.
There are not a lot of figs which would be affected by this "Presidential Pardon."
This would be corrected by a re-write of a few of the older Colossal rules sets in light of today's Colossal Size ability.
My only problem is that normalview follows up and says that the plan is to have a clarification that says the older characters (like Galactus) will not take damage. That clarification, however, was not added to the Player's Guide. Not sure what the implication of that is.
I expect the only implication of not adding it to the player's guide was implying that the PG had already been approved and it was too late to add something new. : - )

Something new that should have been thought of before submission, you mean?
1. What exactly blocks line of sight for Colossals? Can they see over outdoor blocking terrain or elevated terrain?
2. What about line of sight/fire to Colossals? Can they hide behide elevated of outdoor blocking terrain? And do they have to be on hindering to gain the benefits versus ranged attacks?

LOF is drawn normally except characters with the and damage symbols will not block their LOF. Outdoor blocking terrain and elevated terrain will block their LOF. (Although a grounded colossal can draw LOF to an elevated character as through it is elevated.)
From the Player's Guide:
Quote
Colossal Size
(NON-OPTIONAL) Characters with the and symbol do not block lines of fire to or from this character. When this character has two action tokens, it can be given a non-free action and deal it 1 unavoidable damage after the action resolves and do not remove action tokens from it at the end of the turn. A character with this ability ignores the effects of hindering, elevated, and outdoor blocking terrain on movement. This character can’t be knocked back and can make ranged combat attacks against non-adjacent opposing character when they are adjacent to opposing characters. This character and a character on elevated terrain draw line of fire and make ranged combat attacks against each other as if they were both elevated, but terrain effects still apply normally. This character can make close combat attacks against elevated characters, even when this character is grounded. This ability can’t be countered.
The way I see the old rules paper's is like how some Special Powers and Traits allow you to do things that are outside of the normal rules. That's just what they are, special. Until a rules update says they cannot use their own special rules for pushing after taking two action tokens, then let them keep using them.
1. If a Colossal is on elevated terrain, but not on the edge can lines of fire be drawn to and from him?
Line of fire is drawn normally, except when the path crosses characters with the and . Elevated still blocks.

2. Can you make ranged combat attacks against a Colossal if you are adjacent?
Not unless you have Sharpshooter

3. Does a Colossal need to be on top of hindering terrain to gain it's benefit against ranged attacks?
It should work the same as line of fire drawn to any other size figure. If you can draw line of fire without crossing the hindering terrain, he does not get +1 defense, if the line of fire crosses hindering terrain or the square you are drawing line of fire to is in hindering, then he gets the +1 defense bonus.
