I love using her with Red Skull. He masterminds the damage to her. She regenerates, steals energy, or uses blades to inflict massive damage along with his poison.
Give a man fire and he's warm for a day, set a man on fire and he's warm for life.
He couldn't help remembering how much he'd wanted a puppy when he was a little boy. Mind you, they'd been starving-anything with meat on it would have done.
E-Dr. Strange
E-Hulk(natch)
R-Firelord (if you cant get the Silver Herald...)
U-Electra (no valkyrie)
V-Thug
My thug is custom to look like Wong (Dr. Strange's valet)
he has beaten an E-Quicksilver! Stoped Dr. Strange from getting hit. And blocked and tied up a R-Scarlet Witch (before she took him out). All in the same game. he was MVP of the Defenders THAT day!

I'm just waiting to get my hands on a Mr. Fixit. Then I'm going to field an army that is nothing but Mr. Fixit and a horde of goons and thugs.
Early on, I played a Kingpin and nothing but goons against a Spidey/DD/Elektra team. That was a hoot.
I think the generics are a cool component of the game, and it's nice to see this thread with all of these little tips and tidbits about the figures. Let's keep it up!

I played a game with Spiderman, Daredevil and a few other heroes against a swarm of Hand Ninjas led by Viper. It was fun, although Daredevil didn't get a chance to get double points for the Ninjas.. Just when he arrived to hit somebody, one of his other teammates finished the ninja off. So he was always a hair too late. Still, all of my team were unpushed and unharmed.
Ghost
Gulyadkin Victims List: Spider-Man (ASM 001b), Green Goblin (M10A 004).
Black Panther R (IC) Mjolnir Attempts: 2 for 2! HE IS WORTHY!
Originally posted by Ghost_Rider I wouldn't mind a few other generic figures. Some ideas are:
Family Dog (archenemy of Mailman)
I wouldn't call it the Family Dog, but just Puppy (R), Dog (R), Dog (R).
Give them BF and Charge, nothing else though. (And though dogs have "fangs" and "claws", they should not be given BCF!)
The BF is to prevent them from being taxied around and to represent that they have a keen sense of smell, and are not easily controlled by false mental images. The charge ... well, you try and outrun a dog on the hunt.
I've found the E and V AIM Agents(8 attack, 8 range, 2 damage and a useful team ability for 15 or fewer points) to be very helpful, and my roommate practically swears by the R Checkmate Agents(8 range, two targets, no reason not to use both targets, and a high enough attack to be a good clean up figure), he'd probably swear by the more experienced versions if we had any.
If there was absolute freedom, people would run over babies and charge admission.
when i hear that a new set is comming out one of the things i look forward to is the generics the dc policeman were a great addition as well as the lackey and criminal
there are some i am hoping for soon
convict - orange jumper with chained ankles, 4 movement
assassin - some type of RCE?
police officer - marvel version of a simple cop
fireman - maybe no abilities just decent stats for a normal
EMT - just another medic needed in future sets
punk - more of the same
goon - as above
body guard - guy in suit, glasses. with a gun i guess
reporter - low stats low cost
scientist - mostly useful in a senerio game
do we do army guy pieces? or would they start to get too tough for generics? with their machine guns and all.
what about a bag of civilian pieces one or 2 clixk deaths for whatever reason we end up using them for.
Generics can be fantastic. Aim Agents are underrated- they have a useful team ability, 8 range, good attack, good damage.
Checkmate Agents are great if you won't be using the Hydra ability, but I usually use the Aim variant.
Sheild Trooper has a good attack for almost his whole dial. Energy Explosion is good for weakening multiple figs, making your figs harder to hit. (I'm a big believer in the potency of a single click of damage.)
I've never played the Cops since AIM Agents have better range.
SCU isn't a bad anti-weenie weenie. The low AV is a killer though.
Not the best piece.
Skrull Warriors are way good with a couple Wild Cards. Combo with V Daredevil (IC). 8 range, 2 damage, good DV/AV.
I have a veteran thug and I love that thing. Not exactly ultron, but he can get me out of alot of problems. I want to repaint him in a black suit and make him a secret service guy or put him black clothes instead of white and green. That could be neat looking.
My invisible friend thinks you have some mental problems.
one of my favorites is check mate agents supported by cops or hydra, maybe throw in some shield for some bang. and then add a taxi, the comish, and some one with super strength.
My Defenders team is pretty tough. By the time people deal with R-Firelord and E-Dr. Strange the E-Hulk is a total monster, U-Electra is in position, the The V-THUG is cool pimpin' on their medics.

Personaly i kinda like V thugs, a friend of mine had his (i'll admit damaged spiral) killed by a V thug in a tournament which just cracked me up. But the realy funny part was when in round 2 my opponent had a V thug and a spiral on his team and i managed to mind control his thug to kill his spiral
I'll admid i haven't played a whole lot of games ..but sofar that's the funniest thing in a game i've seen

Actually, I've been a bit disappointed that the medic figures are always female. It is almost as if they think males can't be nurses, and females can't be tough. [/b]
The roles are reversed on the Checkmate characters. The male is the medic & female is the agent.
I once played a 400pt game where all I used was Shield team and a smattering off police. I was acting as The Man to my opponents mutant scum. (one played X-men, the other Brotherhood) After using my mandroids to throw my snipers onto rooftops I marched across the board and crushed my opponents.
