Jimi Hendrix. I've never been one for Tool. They're okay, but I have to take them in small doses. I'll stop there because I don't want to be taken too far out of context.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
the tool song is my pick and it is an amazing song with great guitar work. it is possibly one of my favorite song's and it is very well put together. the song has a good synergy between the instruments. with that said BOLD AS LOVE – Jimi Hendrix wins. as much as i really dont wanna vote for it i guess jimi takes it.
If it helps, I'm going 1-2, unless some peeps come in and save Kath.
I'll throw a vote for Adam Jones as one more for Jimi isn't going to matter.

I'm a big Hendrix fan, I'm a bigger Tool fan. With Tool, I have the extra difficulty of 1) not listening to the bass (which I absolutely LOVE), 2) not listening to the drums (which are phenomenal), and 3) not listening to the singing (which is just powerful). Honestly, the guitar is my least favorite part of most Tool songs, and it was really hard for me to focus in on it. Once I did, and listened to all the sounds he's coaxing out of it, I barely (JUST BARELY) give Adam Jones the edge on this one.
I like the guitar in EVERY Hendrix song, but this one not as much as others. It's still far better than almost anything else out there, but for this round, at this point in time...ADAM JONES - FORTY SIX & 2
edit...ok, I just read everyone else's comments, and it's an avalanche for Jimmy. I'm going to go listen to them both again.
recap...after a second listening, I'm sticking with my answer. Jimmy has some great soloing going on in there, but when I focus on just Adam Jones' guitar I can hear him creating a soundscape. If you take away Jimmy's solos, then you have an ok song. If you take away Adam's solo, you don't really notice, because he just has so many different sounds and textures going on in that song. I like the way he's experimenting, going away from standard playing to bring a new sound in.
