Other characters: the In-Betweener (original bearer of the Soul gem) and Grandmaster (bearer of the Mind gem). Not sure on the gold and blue guy. Wonder if these will be participation prizes similar to the Heralds in Coming of Galactus?

I hope it's more of a Coming of Galactus figure. In the Galactic Guardians set I want a normal-sized Thanos. While this is an awesome looking sculpt, I think a 2x2 sculpt would end up like the GSX colossals...rarely ever used.

Despite helping WizKids with Print & Play, I have no advanced knowledge of what is coming up in these Marvel sets. This is strictly my opinion.

I'd say Thanos is the big prize for the Organized Play event WizKids is scheduling (and Ziran eluded to) for 2012. He is simply to big to be a BIBTB figure in a booster and he is quite a prize to 'work' for in tournament play. Plus his story continuity spans all three of the 'mini' releases set for late 2011/early 2012.

Exactly! I used my eyes, and we know they're planning some type of "storyline" event. All that information points to something akin to "Coming of Galactus" style events.

That said, I wasn't necessarily saying it to be negative. I was saying it so people were prepared. I hate to see people go bonkers and then be let down because they weren't observant.

Looks like the smaller blue and gold fig could be the chick Thanos.

Funny thing is, I actually want to know if Thanos will come with the stairs he's standing on. That terrain is pretty darn cool, but seems as though it should be separate from the actual figure.

Even without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos could hold his own against lesser beings like Dr. Manhattan.

WITH the IG - all of existence is his toy. Why shouldn't he be colossal.

maybe so he could get a more accurate and longer dial?

also, kinda strange they are already hyping up infinity gauntlet before Superman AND Hulk even come out?
