On a somewhat related note, does having the skrull TA allow you to use feats with shape change as a prereq? Camo, for example.
Yes. Just like Batman ally lets you use feats with Stealh as a pre-req. The only thing that the feats care about is that you can use the pre-req power.
Skrulls TA is NOT shape change. The TA does not say "this character can use shape change", it just works LIKE shape change but only on a roll of 6! Not 5 or 6. So it's not a prereq for any feats and it's not the same as shape change on any character.

Here's the current wording of the Skrulls team ability (already posted once in post #11 by vlad):

In older versions Skrulls TA read as similar to SC but it never said SC. In the new PAC the wording changed as indicated above.
