It seems pretty odd for him to have the Black Lantern keyword, since this is representing him NOT as a zombie... Anyone else find that a little weird? Perhaps what they were looking for was the "White Lantern Corps" keyword, with mastermind instead of steal energy? The regeneration fits nice and fine.

As mentioned earlier, I'm assuming that the JLI/Superbuddies Max will be an LE, seeing as that's what most people seem to want, (myself included) and getting a zombie instead would be pretty demeaning to the fans.

it prolly is meant to represent max during his career from his reveal as the black king on. kind of how caliban's dial is a mashup of 3 "dials" of his career

As much as I like this figure, I would rather have a Rookie pre-Checkmate version with JLI and SuperBuddies keyword.

He should get a bonus to mind control mental weaklings like Superman

Glad we are finally getting a Maxwell Lord. Just wish he had that JLI keyword, then he would be perfect.

Totally agree! I've been waiting for ever for Max, and he doesn't have te JLI key word? grrr. Well, can't wait to play him!

OHFG!!!! i am so excited, i am slightly disappointed with his power set up, i was expected something WAY broken...but i am just happy to see him finally made (and this is hoping that they have a LE of him also)...

the lack of WL or BD Keyword is kind of disturbing, but this is also to hoping that there is a LE that takes care of it...

i dont know what other Villian messes stuff up like Max (i mean Brightest Day?!?!?!?!) so i am super happy to finally see one of my favorite Villians in the DC Universe and finally seeing a Spoiler that i am impressed with (i have to date been rather BLEH about what i have seen so far)

This would have been a perfect opportunity for WK/NECA to do another split-dial version of a character which may not be clixed again.

i think we will see Max again...at least i hope we will he has been LONG over due and stuff...but i agree i think a three split would have been awesome, one as Normal One (JLI through Checkmate), one as a Black Lantern, and then one as a WL/BD one.

I like him. He's fragile, which is entirely appropriate for him, but his special makes a situational power (Mind Control) much more viable, when you can A) Give a move action to send it back and attack support pieces, or B) Attack whoever is in range, and then give them a move action into your kill box.

i agree. i think Max is going to see a lot of Finesse Play, there are going to be several really cool Teams springing up around this dude, i cant wait to add Max Lord to my Checkmate and Black Lantern collections

Yeah especially with AKuma or KC CR Superman who'd get to full move & then use Charge/Flurry.

I'm guessing due to the OMAC being highly pushable???
