in gambits case, the explosion in "energy explosion" doesn't mean each card is exploding causing damage, it means that each explosion represents a different card hitting a target.
1 arrow energy explosion is perfect and represents the character quite well...
one of the few cases that a clix is true to the comic
Yes, I realize he was being sarcastic...I don't feel that Gambit was overly under-represented...How about the Leader for under-represented.....I mean, he doesn't even have LEADERship, and can only mind control at a range of 6 with that bigass head?? Cmon!!
True enough.....But it is somewhat amusing that a character named THE LEADER doesn't have leadership.....You would think that that big head would give him a greater range on his mind control though....
black manta has two big red eyes...i mean...talk abt rip off! He should have mind control. C'mon..those two big red eyes? should have an attack of 15 for mc w/ those things!
Originally posted by WadeDeadpool About him throwing three cards at one time...take it from someone who actually KNOWS how to throw the #### things. It's impossible to hold three in one hand, make one throw, and have them go to three different directions. (Well, at least three directions that you AIMED at... ) And that's all the arrows really show, what they can do in one single attack. I myself am one of the biggest Gambit fans that there are (Hell, I learned to throw cards because of him) but I also respect that if he was made too powerful, he would completely screw up the whole balance to the game.
Well it's also impossible to throw a wet toothpick a hundred yards and have it go through a glass window and kill someone...
Yet Bullseye has done this, and his clix indicates this with a very high damage for a minor powered assassin.
Yeah, but Gambit hasn’t done anything that extreme, nor has he ever been seen throwing his cards very far. 6 range is pretty appropriate for him.
He’s decently priced, has a solid base damage, has Perplex to simulate his ability to charge things up as well as boost his utility on a team (Hint: E. Gambit, V. Beast, R. Jean Grey and Nightcrawler. Have fun plinking folks for 4 damage with Hypersonic on the first turn.)He also fills a valuable role as a low-cost character on the X-Men.
You want underpowered, take a look at Storm. Or Vet Iceman. But Gambit’s pretty much where he should be.
