I really liked MechWarrior. It has some issues, though. A lot of the established BattleTech people hated it, and the mid-life rules revision ticked off a lot of the fanbase for reasons that have never been clear to me.
I came up with a novel idea. Make MechWarrior figures compatible with Heroclix. Check out this post: Click here to go to the post.
If you look on the 2nd page of the thread, you'll read a plausable story that justifies the scale difference of the BattleMechs and existing Heroclix characters.
If anyone is interested, I can post other dials that I've made for a variety of other BattleMechs, vehicles, power armor, and infantry.
Problem is Wizkids doesn't own the rights to Mechwarrior...
I greatly disliked the Infantrywarrior aspect of it. A large team of just infantry could take out the same point amount of mechs no problem, and that always bothered me.
I heard something along these lines from MechWarrior players as well.
The support units were more powerful that the Mechs and therefore no one played Mechs turning MechWarrior into Warrior.
It's why I decided to not get into the game.
And it just occurred to me that this would be a great argument for the "Comic Accurate" thread.
Too bad I can't post in there without bursting into flames.

Y U No read the thread before posting?!?!
I know that Wizkids can't officially create Mechwarrior figures for Heroclix because of copyright laws. My post wasn't intended to say that Wizkids will be doing that - they should, though. But what I've been doing is modifying the Mechwarrior figures that I own and making them compatible with Heroclix. I know that they aren't legal for tournament play, but I don't play any tournament games anyways, just with friends. None of my friends are interested in playing MechWarrior, so the only way I can play with the Mechwarrior figures is to "port" them into Heroclix. Either that or put them on a shelf and let them collect dust.

The reason mechwarrior died was Math.
A large mech base...say....an Atlas ((one of the biggest and baddest mechs in the known galaxy and my personal fave))
could only EVER have 17 clix of life at 300 points ((the build of the game))
75 Peasant Company have 3 clix of life a piece. for a grand total of 225 clix of life. Therefore, even the fact that the peasants are the cheapest unit in the game, moving in formations of 5, the Atlas cannot do enough damage over the course of the game to NOT get swamped and killed or captured.
