Do purposely bad things to make him lose points and therefore the tourney...like run Two of the New Flashes...I'm considering using this as my team to "Put down annoying" Players as opposed to Night-Tron

i'm sorry i'm so had it with these type of post!!! its a tournament. he's doing nothing wrong. you don't like or anyone else who doesn't. then you stay at home & play friendly games with your friend's. & stop ruining this guys fun. it is a tournament! therefore it is game seven. no one from magic, omg no one from a pokimon tournament cries as much as heroclix's players. about someone paying to win in a tournament! & then you all make post!! i wonder why i can't get more people to turn out at our heroclix tournaments. this is why! people come to tournament's 2 play the best players & win. not to have FUN O_O! there i said what had 2 b said! they want fun thet stay at home!
I think a clarification is needed from the OP.
1) Are you upset with this guy because he is competitive?
or
2) Are you upset with this guy because of his behavior (that seems to stem from being competitive)?
A person can be extremely competitive and still maintain civility and composure. It sounds like this person is not doing that.
i'm upset with anyone complaining. can you help me run this competitive player off. he win all the time, & we play for fun &he plays to win. he's single handled ruin our tournaments. we ask him to not play so competitive aka to lose on purpose because we suck & can't beat him, so others can win. help me run him off. this is cornflakes!!! then you stay at home & play friendly games. & stop ruining tournaments.

Hold on there slick... there is one thing about playing to win. there is a whole other thing with losing and pouting and wah wahing and being a total jerk when you win. I've got competitive players at my venues. but they aren't dicks about it. BIG DIFFERENCE. You need to calm down.
And Magic/Yu Gi Oh players are the worst. One of my venues has HeroClix the same time as Yu Gi Oh. I've never seen more good cases for chemical sterilization.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
I would dq someone for being mean to other players. The venue exists to grow the game. Winning all the time, playing super competitive teams is one thing. But being mean to the other people shouldn't be tolerated.
EVERYONE IS A JERK WHEN THEY LOSE!!!! & if you are not. then i don't want you on my team. stay away. i have no problem with someone who wants 2 win at all cost. but i hate someone who doesn't care if they lose. you are wasting my time & your's. if you don't care about doing anything well. then why show up?

So you're saying that it is impossible for a truly competitive player to be a good sport/shake hands/say congratulations if they lose? If so, then I think this reflects more upon you and your maturity and how you are applying that to this situation. If not, then I don't think you understand the basis of the discussion.

ronnie lott, LT taylor, ray lewis, michael jordan, tiger woods, all are winners & only cared about winning. & didn't cry if someone was a jerk to them when they lose. they just put that player's @#$k in the dirt the next time they played them.
I have had a similar experience with one of the players at our venue. He was cocky, loved to win, was overly consumed with the competitive nature of the game, which I feel are perfectly fine when the environment presents itself to that type of play style. I did confront this player after everyone had left one night since I was the one person that had known him the longest. I explained to him how all the other players felt and placed him in a situation in which he would have to choose between complying with the majority or continue his isolation from the group and force us to take alternate measures to secure the majorities comfort. Unfortunately he took that as a sign of aggression and proceeded to gather his belongings and quit playing.
Now that I look back at the situation I find myself considering the fact that since he has left, the enjoyment of the other players is at an all time high and we are constantly getting new players that commend us in our friendly, fun venue.
This was one of the best things that ever happened at our venue.

lol its a public fourm. & no i don't care what someone says 2 me if they win. i use it as fuel for next week's game. after games, even the superbowl they shake hands. do you think the loser means it? no. i like that the patriots coach refused to shake rex ryan hand last year. the next time rex beat them again. all i'm saying. be a man. stop crying & take your lumps

So, during a match, he started ripping on you? And you were the Judge for the event?
Easy. DQ'ed. Kept it up, Banned from Tournaments. He's creating an uncomfortable situation for the other players, and likely to drive players away.
Agreed. If the judge/envoy/tournament organizer is going to sacrifice his time to run HeroClix tournaments, it's not much to ask for players to not act like douchebags.
If a player can't keep from being a douche, then that person needs to find someplace else to play. I'm certain most judges/envoys/tournament organizers have the support of their venue owners so a disruptive player shouldn't think that they can walk all over the guy running things.

I think I'm lucky in that I have a few players who are competitive but I also trust them to help new players get better. I agree, varying scenarios can help keep the competitiveness in check.

In last week's sealed game, I lost every single round I played. In fact, in two of those rounds, I didn't land a single attack. But, I still looked my opponents in the eye and shook their hand after every match. We all had fun, shared some laughs, talked comics, and had a great time whether we won or lost.
If we're playing the game wrong, I don't want to play it the right way.
But anyway, we used to have a similar player at our venue. Everyone just kind of quietly tolerated his obnoxiousness, until one night, he was extremely rude toward a friend of line, who was playing his FIRST game. After that, two of our veteran players decided to fight fire with fire. Out came the Chiefs, Nightcrawlers, and Cosmic Spider-Men. Soon after, he got sick if losing and never came back.
