Reign of the Supermen: Turn 1

"Whoa... heavy! What just happened... and where are we?"

The Metropolis Kid looks around in confusion, even going so far as to take off his shades so he can actually *see*

"Where ever we are kid... it sure ain't Kansas" Steel replies, hefting his hammer as numerous potential threats begins to appear on his scanners.

"We're not on Earth... or even in our own dimension any more" The Last Son, hovering menacingly nearby suddenly offers without further explanation. "And we're clearly not welcome here"

The enigmatic avenger points towards the distance where the massed ranks of the Covenant Empire advances against them.

"Enough of this!" The Man of Tomorrow cuts through the chatter, taking charge. "It doesn't matter where we are, or who they are. We all know *what* this is.... a job for Superman!"

1) The Man of Tomorrow tears up a strange pylon of obviously alien design and flies fearlessly towards the foe. Man of Tomorrow flies to N7, picking up a HO on the way.

2) "Alright! I *knew* I was taggin' along with this guy for a reason!" The Kid grins, hurrying after the Cyborg, only pausing to snatch up a suitably impressive looking boulder of his own. The Kid flies to O9 and picks up a HO

free) "Yo! Speedo-boy, surf's up!" The Kid calls out as he spots Namor and points towards the alien army. The Kid perplexes Namor's defence up

3) "Meta-humans, several different groups. And seemingly as alien to this place as we are. But are they friend... or foe?" The Last Son muses to himself as he flies in low and fast above the water, grabbing a large tree-trunk as it floats by below him. Last Son flies to N11 and arms himself with a HO

4) Spying the armoured form of Doctor Doom in the distance, his suit glowing like a beacon of hyper-advanced technology to Steel's scanners he jets off across the river towards this group. "Looks like my kind of people over there, let's see if we can't work something out. Scientist to scientist" Steel flies to N17 and picks up a HO.

"I don't know who you people are, and you don't know me. But it looks like *that* army over there isn't too keen on any us being here, so maybe we can help each other out?"

"Dammit, what happened?" Clint asks as he finds his footing.
"You got me, one minute we are waiting for strange at his home and the next we are here," Nighthawk replied.
"We have been transported here somehow, that much is certain, but how and by who?" asks the surfer.
"Dormamu? its been awhile since he showed his face," Clint respondes.
"It does not matter, it seems we have company" The prince of Atlantis says. "I suppose the Defenders are needed once again."
"Don't start hitting people at random Namor, we seem to be concentrating on those guys with the guns," Clint says.

1) "Maybe we will get more awnsers once they are defeated, come with me Hawkeye," Norrin says and carries Clint, ending his movement in C1, dropping Clint in B2
2)"I have never been against strength in numbers," Nighthawk says moving to H6 and picking up a boulder.
3)Namor motices a tree branch that looks a lot like a spear, moves to D3 and picks it up.

Emerging from the portal, the creatures gazed around at their new surroundings. They stood on two legs, some on four, and were all heavily armed. They were on some sort of biological planet, brimming with oxygen in the atmosphere and H2O all around them. The largest among them, a general of sorts or perhaps a chief, quickly noticed another species approaching. In an inaudible language the creature pointed and demanded, in so many words...

One of the grunts dropped down to the ground, landing flat as it did. It aimed its weapon and shot at an approaching archer.

Meanwhile a large brute of a creature grabbed two cowardly grunts by the back of their necks, and the brutish one ran forward tossing the cowards into the fray. Bamn! A shot struck a nearby foe.

The largest one among them aimed its beam rifle with deadly accuracy. It would not be defeated here, not now, not when they had so much left to do. A powerful blast struck a strong warrior from the other species, catching the being off guard and forcing the spear it carried to smash into the warrior's face. The general grinned.
