Not even close to cheese... people have to stop worrying about what they play and try to have some fun...
I played my beloved Martial Artist team today at 600 golden... 600 GOLDEN!!! My bread and butter! went 2-1, lost first round and only destroyed an object worth 5, had a bye round for a win, so by round 3... i had 5 points TOTAL, then had a 3 way match and won that... no one complained about my team (Deadpool, Bullseye t-boltd, dhalsim, NC with AP and Lucky Break, Cap smokey, Question and Alfred Pog) and we all had one hell of a time! greatest event we have had in months! Oh, and I saw Magog run straight through a bunch of soldiers... it was awesome!!

In the old days when only Bat Family figs had perma stealth, and the only one who could see through Stealth was Superman (and only one Superman worth playing, which was OWAW), then it was cheese. Today? No, not even close to it.
I love playing a team based on the cover of Batman #619 by Jim Lee. It looks something like this:
Chase Batman (AA) 120 pts.
V Nightwing (CR) 79 pts
V Robin (AA) 66 pts
U Oracle (LG) 27 pts
Huntress (BA) 50 pts
E Captain Gordon (AA) 50 pts
LE Man of Steel (CD) 200 pts
V Catwoman (HT) 68 pts
Total: 660
I've ran it without Superman and used the U Catwoman (a favorite of mine), despite that none of the Catwoman figures I own have the Gotham City Keyword, other than the Bat/Cat duo.
Play what you want. There is no way with the Superman set currently in play, that a stealth team could be cheese.
And yes I know
Wow. The Supes in that picture must really have to pee.
Id say Gotham teams are not cheesy. I wouldn't play a bunch of oots just cause people would get upset seeing that, id rather play a game where both sides can have fun, but whats wrong with a whole bunch of otts batmans on a team? It has its flaws.....
I certainly don't think that it's stealth that's cheesy - it's when stealth is coupled with leap/climb and willpower. That makes said stealther very annoying and hard to track/pin down, and most Batman characters and allies have this combo. If you add outwit and dual target incap to the mix, it gets ridiculous.
I use the Batman ally teams to teach new players how to play, because of the power combos like this that enable the pieces to be extremely mobile and hard to hit.
I totally agree with what everyone else is saying. I think the other thing to remember is that just because you're playing a Gotham City theme doesn't mean you're playing all stealthy characters. DC75 Green Lantern SR and SM Superman Beyond LE give the theme some nice non-stealth (and stealth busting with GL) options.
Like I told my last wife, I says, "Honey, I never drive faster than I can see. Besides that, it's all in the reflexes."

You can make them semi cheesy but most Gotham clix are easy to take down once you hit them. This has become a favorite of mine.

Hopefully Deadshot picks up the Scorpio Key and has 2 GCDs to give him Enhancement. Use Gordon's summon the bat SP to pull Bat/Cat out of harm's way after they make an attack. Use Anarchy's free smoke cloud to keep stealth going for your team. Use Batman's sp to smoke cloud and move him and Robin around for free. Its a tricky team to play and if your guy's start getting smacked, it can go downhill quick. I have yet to use it in a tourney though.
