The problem I have with it is that he's such a lesser known character, that we may not see him made again for a very long time, if ever.

Spider-Man I can understand (he's my favorite character) as before SP they kind of had to decide: Super Strength or Incapacitate. Now, they don't have to make that choice (still Spidey gets the shaft ), but that's another debate entirely.

I just wish they'd made him 'right' the first time.

Like I said, it's a great dial for 88 points. I'll play it, but it sure isn't Black Tarantula.

Seriously? This minor, all but forgotten Spider-Man villain from the mid-90s makes into the Hulk set over actual Hulk-related characters? I'm feel awful for my Hulk-loving friends.

Oh man. I remember this guy! One of the last comics I read as a kid before I stopped collecting (for about 7 years) had this dude showing up in it. He seemed pretty awesome from what I remember.

Yeah, I only commented on the lack of Super Strength before (because I was pretty excited to see the Black Tarantula in clix form), but I kinda get the feeling that they wiki'd his dial. (The way they included the eye-beams in his dial seems like it could have been borrowed from the powers/abilities section of wikipedia, especially the whole "last resort" thing.)

I agree on all counts, and thanks for the info on it being the father as I missed that part. Still figure it'll be fine as the FF Green Goblins were lacking Strength as well and they played fine for the longest time prior to WoS. Though here's hoping we may see another "filler" version in the near future.

With the apparent Daredevil sub-theme it's really no surprise he's included.

Good figure, but where's Boomerang, and Constrictor?? They have fought Hulk numerous times! Overall, this set is an EXTREME disapointment, with one exception...BLACK BOLT!!! I'm SO gonna play the Scorpio Key every time...

He's a Spider-man villain. Also, DD sub-theme? DD isn't off theme as he's the Hulk's lawyer (and two figures prior to this one is a lousy sub-theme).

So happy to see Black Tarantula in clicx form............even happier to see a good dial for him!


Question for you W.I.T.............after Carlos got released from Rykers (and more importantly got off the power suppressing drugs they were putting in his system for a looooooooooooong time, shortly after) what kind of things did you see him do in comparison to what he was before?

He wasn't bullet proof any more I can tell you that...........there were times he was leaking like a waterfall after being shot repeatedly.

And despite his power names on the card I get a very 'post Rykers' feel from the dial.

Could it have been more for Carlos, sure it could...........but I think this captures most of his most recent history.




He was a Spiderman villain. Matt steals everything.

He was also a fellow inmate when Matt Murdock was locked up at Rykers. Then he was employed my Matt's firm when he was released and was played side-kick with DD for a short time (when DD was feeling under the weather). Then he left and started his own 'robin hood' type thing and then Shadowlands happened.

I'm cool with saying there was a DD/Shadowlands sub-theme.

Nice addition to the Hulk set! Glad they put at least one fig in the Hulk set to go along with Shadowland DD; hopefully they play well together along with White Tiger!

I'm so glad DD is getting some love in this set. Shadowland FTW!!
