You could choose to be big, use Outwit or Perplex on a foe, and then choose Earthbound to shrink down again. Not super-effective, but it can be useful.
I actually can think of a couple times during some of the games I played it would of been useful. When Stranger was pushed, and I didn't want to use collosal stamina that turn and needed to pull. It would of been helpful then, as I had a figure blocking LOS from them attacking me.
You could always choose 'Earthbound' on his select a power clicks after you've selected 'Giant' or 'Colossal' to pull that maneuver (*and now that I think about it, it's a pretty sweet idea...)
EDIT: Now that I read it, it doesn't work, sadly. They're both beginning of your turn effects, so the timing is off. *sigh*
For clarification, "beginning of your turn" is up until anybody on your team is given a non-free action. So as Queb said, you could:
1. Go colossal
2. Outwit a power
3. Choose EB/N via IG or Stranger's own power
and all 3 would still occur at the "beginning of your turn." The acting player gets to decide the order of effects.
He could not, because Perplex is the same effect as Perplex.
From the Player's Guide:
Game effects which grant the use or possession of another game effect have no effect if the recipient can already use the new effect.
You would not have Outwit again, because the special power was lost and losing a power causes its effect to stop if the power has a specified duration, which the Stranger's power has.
The effect that was OWed would not be OWed again. However, Stranger DOES get the use of Outwit back, but since it is obviously your opponent's turn, you would not be able to use it until your turn. VanPun, I think you were misunderstanding your own answer.

I think you are misunderstanding my answer.
The question was about Stranger's power
NO ONE KNOWS ME... OR WHAT I'M CAPABLE OF: At the beginning of your turn, you may choose a standard power. Stranger can use that power until your next turn.
If Stranger chooses Outwit and is damaged so that his SP is no longer showing, the effect of his power will end. The effect at this point would be that he can use Outwit ("use" in the HeroClix sense of the word). So if he gets hit back to his SP he can't use Outwit anymore (again, "use" in the HeroClix sense).

OK, now that makes sense. Yes, he loses OW (due to losing his SP). If he is damaged onto a click that the SP shows on after that, then that only means that at the beginning of your turn, you may choose a power...
When Stranger uses his trait and chooses either Giant or Colossal, does it replace his standard symbol or does he have both? Most cases I can think of with powers and abilities, the figure would keep both.
I throw this question out there cause having both would make him a valid target for tk, even while being a Colossal.

Page 17 of the rules:
STANDARD COMBAT
SYMBOLS AND ABILITIES
The speed symbol, the attack symbol, the defense symbol, and the damage symbol are standard combat symbols and follow all normal rules. Characters can also possess combat symbols through other game effects. Characters possessing other combat symbols possess combat abilities as specified on the Powers and Abilities Card. Unless specified otherwise, these combat symbols replace the symbols currently possessed by the character. Combat abilities can be countered unless they specify otherwise. See the Powers and Abilities Card for full details on the combat abilities a character possesses.
Stranger does not specify otherwise. In fact, most characters that get a new symbol do not specify otherwise. Here is an example of an exception:
The 2011 Rulebook states with regards to standard symbols:
"Unless specified otherwise, these combat symbols replace the symbols currently possessed by the character."

Alot of trouble when you could just choose stealth.(whilst standing in hindering terrain.)
Not alot of stealthed single based colossals out there.
