Wow.. those dice are *really* hating on you now...
Exiles: Turn 4
De-feated roll is: 3
1) Nocturne, still not quite understanding how she escaped that unscathed leaps at Cyclops with a flying kick "Sorry about this Scott, but trust me, it'll take waaay too much time to explain, and while I try it, Holocaust would just murder you!" 9 atk. vs 17 def. Needs an 8. Roll is: (4,2) for a 6 and a miss!
2) "AWAY with you GNAT! I'll deal with you later McCoy!" Holocaust roars, throwing Beast aside with barely any effort. Free from his distractions he turns his burning glare on Cyclops and Storm, barrelling forward like a mad bull! Holocaust breaks away automatically (Colossal Stamina!) and charges to I13-14/J13-14 to attack Cyclops. 10 atk. vs 17 def. Needs a 7. Roll is: (2,5) for that 7 he *really* needed for the first hit of the match! Cyclops takes 3. 1 SA and 1 from the push for Holocaust.
free) Holocaust laughs madly as Scott reels back from his crushing blow and the blast-furnace heat he's radiating, savouring his pain. Holocaust rolls to steal life. Roll is: 1 and it fails miserably (bringing us right back to par for this game!)
At the beginning of each player's turn that player must roll a d6. On a roll of 1, feats assigned to characters controlled by that player are ignored until the beginning of the next players turn.

free) Holocaust briefly wonders if McCoy's run out of sneaky tricks, but then shrugs, grins, and fans the nuclear fire within himself, filling the air with the stench of scorched fur! Holocaust poisons Beasts who takes 1!
1) "You will NOT escape the Heir of Apocalypse traitors! And it's not your time yet McCoy, wait your turn!" Holocaust howls with fury as his quarry escapes, instead turning all of his wrath on Jubilee! Holocaust shoots Jubilee! 10 atk. vs 16 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (2,3) for a 5 and ANOTHER miss! Holocaust takes 1 from the push.
2) Sunfire tries to break. Roll is: 2 and Mariko goes nowhere!
3) Nocturne leaps away from Jubilee to engage Iceman instead, leaping to N6. She takes 1 from the push
free) Holocaust rolls to steal life (thanks to Poison!). Roll is: 4 and something finally works! He heals a click right back

X-Men Turn 6A
DeFeated)3
Leadership)4
"Hank, you okay?"
"Fine, Scott. I got a little confounded trying to compute the composition of his carapace... aim for the left inside elbow joint!"
Scarlet beams lanced out from Cyclops' visor, striking the glowing behemoth full-force, staggering him. "Perfect. Now get out of there before he he swats you."
"With all due haste, O Fearless Leader." Beast bounded back towards his team, sailing over the heads of the two Asians in this fight, who for some reason were fighting each other, like in some poorly-written comic book. "Jubilee, be a dear and distract the big guy while regroup, would you?"
"... Yeah. Sure. Whatev."
Meanwhile, in another part of the warehouse:
"Guys? Guys, I've got you covered... but who's covering me? I swear I've got Kurt's sister over here trying to take my head off!"
"In a minute, Bobby, we're dealing with a crisis over here."
--------------------------------------------
Free) Beast uses OW on Holo's Invuln. Shellhead also goes away.
1) Cyke RCE Holo, pops two tokens off of CP for +1 AV. 12v17 for 5, roll is: 3,3=6, a hit! Holo takes 5. No knockback 'cause he's, like, huge. Cyke +1SA, Beast +1AST.
2) Beast pushes to L/C to Q10. Push click.
3) Iceman pushes to Barrier N-Q12 again.
Clear Storm, Jean. Token to CP.

Reason: Forgot to click Iceman.
1) Howling with pain from the unexpected hit, roaring, nuclear hellfire escaping from the spider-web of cracks in his crystalline armour Holocaust lashes out like a mindless beast, blanketing Sunfire and Jubilee in fire and flame again! Holocaust shoots Jubilee. 10 atk. vs 16 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (3,6) for a 9 and a solid hit! Jubilee takes 3 as her yellow raincoat catches fire while Mariko miraculously remains unharmed in the midst of the hellish inferno, absorbing the radioactive energies both to keep herself unharmed, and to save Jubilee from a horrible death! 1 SA and 1 from the push for Holocaust.
2) "Sorry girl, but it's for your own good" Mariko expels a wave of pure heat towards Jubilee trying to knock her out with the backwash. 9 atk. vs 13 def. Needs a 4. Roll is: (2,2) for a 4 and just barely a hit! Jubilee takes 2 and is KO'ed! 1 SA, 1 KO and 1 from the push for Sunfire.
Barely managing to slip out of her burning jacket before it melts her skin, Jubilee just has time to wonder how on earth she *survived* that when Mariko's wall of heat strikes her dead-on, dropping her on the spot with a miniature sun-stroke!
free) Holocaust tries to contain his rapidly leaking energy. Life-steal roll is: 5 and he gets it, healing back a click!
"You'll pay for that Summers... I'll melt your bones one by one!"

"Look, if you're Mystique... I've got to tell you, you missed one little detail in your impersonation of Kurt. He's a guy."
"... Bobby, stop flirting with the enemy. Henry, here, let me telekineticly close up some of those burns."
"It's simply his coping mechanism, Jean. You should have seen him when the Champions fought the Swedish Bikini Team. Poor boy almost melted."
"He needs to focus more. Always has. Jubilee is down. Storm, Hank, get in there. Let's see if his other arm has the same weakness."
"Do see if you can hit his mouth. Maybe it would get him to shut up."
"Bobby, focus!"

Leadership) 1. Dang, I really could've used it this turn...
1) Jean TA-Heal Beast. Roll is 6. Beast heals 2, no damage to Jean.
2) Storm carries Beast, flies to L12, puts Beast in K12.
Free) Beast OWs Holo's Toughness
3) Cyke pushes for RCE vs Holo, 12(CP) vs 17 for 5, roll is: 6,1=7, hit (And a waste of two CP tokens, oh well). Holo takes 5, Cyke takes 1. Cyke +1SA, Beast +1AST.
Clear) Iceman, Beast
Token on CP.
PREDICTION: Runshot back to the LO, single-target Pulsewave on Beast, then heal up two with Nanobots. Oh, how I pray for a 1 on your next DeFeated roll...
At the beginning of each player's turn that player must roll a d6. On a roll of 1, feats assigned to characters controlled by that player are ignored until the beginning of the next players turn.
De-feated roll is: 3 (and I let out a huge breath of relief!)
1) "Eww... are you like... *hitting* on me? You're practically my uncle!" Nocturne cuts loose on Bobby with a flurry of kicks and blows. 9 atk. vs
14 def. Needs a 5. Roll is: (2,4) for a 6 and a hit! Bobby takes 1. Second attack is 9 atk. vs 13 def. Needs a 4. Roll is: (3,1) for a 4 and just barely a hit (and damn am I ever glad I didn't open up with Holocaust!). Bobby takes 2 total. 2 SA's to Nocturne!
2) "No... NO! IMPOSSIBLE! I will NOT be defeated by GNATS!" Holocaust roars in shock and fury as Cyclops' pinpoint-precision optic blast nearly shatters his armour completely! Staggering backwards, the vengeful monster unleashes an all-consuming blast of seething, radioactive fire towards Hank. Holocaust makes a running shot Pulsewave to F7-8/G7-8 which only catches Beast in the blast. 9 atk. vs 17 (+1 from terrain) def. Needs a 9. Roll is: (5,5) for a 10 and a hit! (Praise Apocalypse!) Beast takes 2 and is knocked back to M14! 1 mighty SA for Holocaust who also takes 1 from the push
Even the prodigious agility of the pouncing Beast isn't enough to evade the veritable of tidal-wave of fire the deeply unbalanced and critically unstable Holocaust unleashes towards him, and it takes all of Hank's skill to just survive with *some* of his fur intact as the backwash alone from the blast sends him flying across the factory!
free) "I CANNOT be defeated... I WILL NOT fall. You gene-traitors are NOTHING compared to the trueborn son of Apocalypse... NOTHING!" Holocaust kicks in the emergency repair-systems of his armour, containing *some* of the critical leaks. Holocaust nanobots the LO in G9 and heals two.
free) "Do you hear me X-Men? "I you will NOT best me in this world, in this time! I will have REVENGE!" the maddened Holocaust drinks deep from Hank's pain and suffering, using it to bolster himself further. Holocaust rolls to steal life. Roll is: 3 and he gets it without even having to PC it. He heals another click!
At the beginning of each player's turn that player must roll a d6. On a roll of 1, feats assigned to characters controlled by that player are ignored until the beginning of the next players turn.
And THAT is why I love Holocaust. Well, that and the fact that he lets me story-post like a completely over-the-top, bat-#### crazy lunatic

"He's repairing himself. Not-Our-Nathan didn't tell us he could do that."
"I think it was implied under 'You cannot defeat him,' myself."

Leadership)6, remove token from Jean.
1) Iceman breakaway roll is 3, stays put.
2) Beast Quake Sunfire, 10v16, roll is: 2,6=8, hit for 2, knockback to M12 and hit the wall for another one. Beast +1SA.
3) Storm finishes Sunfire, 10v14 for 3, roll is: 6,5=11, hit, KO. Storm +1SA, +1KO, push click.
4) Jean moves the HO from M12 to M14.
Gives me the moral victory until you knock out Iceman... I can say I was ahead on points at least once.

1) "I will burn your world to cinders, incinerate everyone single flat-scan you've ever loved, I'll crush Magneto's pathetic dream like an ant beneath the heel of my boot and build a monument to my Father's glory from your blackened BONES!" Holocaust raves as yet more precious life-energy leaks from his cracked and battered armour. Holocaust makes a running shot to L4-5/M4-5, blasting Bobby (and it's Nocturne's incredible fortune that Recharge specifically say "opposing characters"!). 9 atk. vs 12 def. Needs a 3. Roll is: (3,6) for a 9 and an easy hit. Iceman takes 2 and is KO'ed! 1 SA, 1 KO and 1 from the push for Holocaust - fragstealer extraordinaire!
Swallowing *hard* the already worn down and weakened Iceman throws *everything* he's got into forming a massive, glacial wall between himself and Holocaust's onrushing ocean of fire, but even his best isn't *quite* good enough. While the ice manages to sap and deflect the sheer killing power of the nuclear blaze, the sheer force of it alone and the irresistible wall of heat that follows in its wake drains Iceman of what little strength he has left, and as the ice melts, Bobby lies spent and unconscious at the feet of Holocaust!
free) Holocaust's hyper-advanced armour continues to repair itself, using whatever materials are on hand to patch-up the microscopic cracks and fractures in a desperate attempt to stabilise the volatile inferno within him. Holocaust uses Nanobots and eats the LO in L6, healing 2 clicks
free) Holocaust rolls to steal life, basking in the suffering and agony of his victims once more! Roll is: 4 and he gets it, healing yet another click!
Nocturne clears, thanking her lucky stars Holocaust didn't just vaporise her and Bobby both!

As tempted as I am to have Holocaust come crashing around the building and straight into your entire team, I'm afraid this match is a little too important to let Holocaust's mindless rage direct my tactics at this moment
Exiles: Turn 10
De-feated roll is: 2
"That's right maggots, RUN! RUN BEFORE THE LIVING DEATH!" Holocaust howls after the re-grouping X-Men. "I will scour this continent of life, drown the oceans in blood and cull the weak from the herd in a fitting tribute to my Father's legacy... and perhaps I will even leave some of you alive to WATCH!"
TJ shivers and tries her best to keep from vomiting at her "team-mate's" tirade
Everyone clears (I think it's only about the third time or so in league history that Holocaust has done that! )
