I've never been to a tournament where they give them away, though I know that at a venue I occasionally frequent, the judge just got his hands on some FCBD Thors and is adding them to the big prize pool, so I'm guessing that'll be for Fellowship or whatever at a non-Infinity Gauntlet event, or set-release event.

I don't like the new Marquee figure idea. I liked Brick Figures because, well, I really like free stuff. I can't tell you how many Superman Robots or A.I.Marine Hulks I have, and I love them all just the same. I don't like that when I bought my 3 bricks of GG, I don't have a single Super-Nova. No offense, I'm not spending $5 on a figure. I'm glad the Thor was free and I was able to get it after FCBD. As good as it is, I'm not blowing $5 bucks on one figure.

Each store got a chance to buy like 50 of them at a buck a piece. So i see no reason to horde them Give them out one per brick, sell them for 2.99 or even use as extra prizes or hand out to new customers.

My venue uses them as the BibtB figure, as well as putting them in the prize box.

For GG they were free with each Brick.
He didn't order the Avengers Marquee, but all the players got a FCBD figure so that was a wash.

The marquee figures are intended to be used as the store wishes: they can use them as brick figures, or as extra prize support, or as sales incentives, or as direct sale figures. Since they are no longer explicitly to be given with brick purchases they changed the name.

No. They replaced the "BibtB" figure with a different thing, still intended to use as an incentive but with the nature of the incentive left entirely to the stores. This is not a brick figure that can also be ordered for other purposes, this is a figure that can be ordered for whatever purpose the store chooses.

i was wondering about the street of gotham Marquee fig if you get one away for each minibrick of street of gotham you buy? Or how your stores handle it? I got three but that was because i got three mini brick of sog we give the dkr marquee figs away for buying a mini brick too but now i was told that not how its being done this time after i got three of them.

not true. That was how the buy it by the brick promotions worked. The Marquee figures are different. Basically the venue owner gets them and can do whatever the want with them. Some give them out like buy it by the brick figures, but they dont have to. Some use them as free promo's to get new players interested, some use them as prizes for off week events. Some just plain give them to loyal players. It's all up to the store owner.
