I hate buzz words with a passion. They're the tools of the weak minded.

Well, they've been talking about an official level 2 helpdesk here for a couple of weeks. They've now cleared out 8 desks next to me that they plan to use to set up the desk. I am supposed to be one of the people on the desk. I would love to be queue manager if that's a possibility. At the very least, I'll be getting promoted if the desk happens.

Well, one board game that I used to enjoy playing a lot with friends was Supremacy. Basically, Risk with economy and nukes.

Who needs the former if you have the latter?

I mean, if I need an economy, I'll just take yours.

kenny, you could move to Boston area. lots of gamers around here. tho, housing costs are quadrupled. my neighbor's house is for sale but it's going for around 400K. Boston area prices are incredibly expensive.

i think what helps the gaming area here in Boston in part is our crappy unpredictable weather, our expensive cost of living, lots of colleges. MIT has an open gaming group, the an open gaming group that meets about once a month at the Prudential center, a few local small cons that focus largely on gaming. we aren't short of gaming options in Boston.

Note: That's 'Boston Area' by Midwest standards, where you're in the 'area' of anything that takes and hour and a half to get to.
