"Spread out men, " Fury commands, "I figure a couple good hits we'll
have the Confederates high-tailing it out of here whistling Dixie."
"Cautiously, Fury," General McClellan says, "We mustn't rush this."
Fury looks back, "There's such a thing as being too cautious, General."
"Dixie? Ah always liked that song. The minstrel shows in Kentucky all did that one," Cannonball says.
Fred Dukes, his friend known as the Blob to his pals, knows when his tall buddy is homesick. "Hey Sam, we gonna fight or we gonna whine?".
"Fight!" he replies as the two charge forth, neither carrying a weapon.
"The high grass is an advantage but not when we need to see," Fury says, "I hear you can do something about that, Pym."
"Doctor Pym," Hank says pulling out Pym particles to shrink the grass around his troop allowing a clearer line of sight.
"You'll be handy, Doc."
"You might as well go ahead, warn us when the South moves in," Pym says.
"I give the orders here...." Clellan replies but sees him addressing a small creature that flies from Pym towards him.
"Wasp! I'll swat it!".
"Don't you dare," Pym says as the wasp flies away.
"You taking to bugs now, Ant-Man?" McClellan jokes.
The men behind him laugh, "Ant-Man!" they yell.
"There are worse things," Pym replies.
Meanwhile Kyle Richmond readies his jet pack. "I guess we'll see if this Nathaniel Richards guy is as good as his word." He touches the side buttons, pressing it slightly and he's skyward. "Whoa whoa whoa....". He moves erratically and low at first, snagging Gabe Jones and carrying him forward.
"Are you crazy?" Jones asks as glide on.
"Crazy, no! I'm having the time of my life!" Richmond replies.

"Care to test out these, what did Hunter call them, levitating disks?" Mr. Miracle asked Frankenstein.
"I doubt they'll support my weight," Frankenstein said skeptically.
"Unless you weigh more than a couple tons, they should," Mr. MIracle said, and grabbing the other, strode across the air to the river's edge. "This is incredible!" he laughed, enjoying the sensation.
"This is also making us a little too easy a target. Take us down," Frankenstein suggested.
A bullet going through Mr. Miracle's cape gave some weight to the monster's suggestion and Mr. Miracle brought then down.
As ever, you have way too much stealth on your team. Wasp is stealthed, btw, can't outwit her.
It's funny, I think of 800 point games as easy peasy but man, there's a lot of work here. The bigger games are actually easier.
McClellan rolls for leadership: 5. So he can add a move plus he can remove a token per our rules but that does me little good this turn.
Hank to L3, outwits Miracle's outwit.
Howard to N3, outwits Frankenstein's indom.
Tony to I3, outwits Frank's invulnerable.
Mockingbird to D6.
Mandroid tks Hawkeye to E7.
Hawkeye on Mr. Miracle. Needs 7-1 for Mockingbird, rolls 7. SS is 1. 3 to Scott.
Wasp makes Cannonball's movement 13.
Cannonball charges in to E12, Blob in tow dropping him at E13, attacking Frankenstein. Needs 7, rolls 8 ( 2 4s). 3 to Frank and kb to I16.
Wiccan to M2.

"Ah don't get these things they're standing on. Keeping them in the air like that," Cannonball says.
"You don't need to understand it, Kentucky, just be ready," says Hawkeye.
"What if you miss?" Blob asks.
"He never misses, Duke," Mockingbird replies, "Just like you never miss a dinner."
"Speaking of dinner. Bet you make a real nice one for Clint here. Do you put on perfume, Robby?".
"I would," he replies, "But with you in the way I can never see where it is."
"Listen you...!" a scuffle starts.
"NOW!" Barton says as he lives up to his namesake knocking down Mr. Miracle and Frankenstein.
"That's our cue, tubbs," Sam says as he and Fred charge the pair, "Why don't you leave Robby Morse alone, he's a good soldier."
"Something about him makes me wanna smash something," Blob says, "And I might as well use that on the Confederates. You're gonna need a Miracle when I'm done with you, Miracle."
Clint Barton smiles and looks over to Robert Morse. "I did it, Robby."
"I knew you would."
"Come on, don't let fatso get to you," Barton pats Morses' back.
"I wish...." Robby says getting closer.
A loud boom interrupts them.
"Cannonball? Blob?" Clint calls out.
"We're good," Sam replies, "Just knocking into things like we do. And people."
A mountain lion stalked its way through the tall grass until it got near to its prey, then it pounced.
"What the hell?" Gabe Jones screamed as the beast tore at his uniform, leaving bloody claw marks over his body. The Union soldier managed to shove the cat off of him and stumble away. Unfortunately for him, it took him out of the cover of the trees and into the open.
"Well, lookee what we have here," Oliver Queen said, loosing an arrow at the now obvious target. Gabe fell to the ground and stopped moving.
"Jones!" Richmond yelled. "Aw, man."
"I'm not done with you yet, boy," Frankenstein said, moving back towards Guthrie.
"And he is not alone," the ghost of Jim Craddock said.
"Who said that?" Sam asked. "Who's there?"
"Oh, no one but a voice on the wind," the ghost laughed.
"I don't like this," Dukes said. "That's just creepy."

Frankenstein on Cannonball, AV9 on DV17. Gets 8, Blades roll is 2. I'll let Rip use his PC on that. Reroll is a 6. That's better! I feel slightly bad about that, but only slightly.
Mr. Miracle Outwits Blob's Layers of Fat. I always feel bad doing that. It's kind of the Blob's defining thing. Kind of wish they'd made it a Trait instead. Or at least like Ulik, made in uncounterable.

McClellan rolls for leadership : 5. Got to remember he can both add an action and remove one.
I'm really enjoying this game but it really does require one to think differently.
McClellan removes the token from Nighthawk. He moves to Q12.
Hawkeye on Frank. Needs 3, rolls 11. With Mockingbird's bonuses he's out. Way out.
I'll push Blob. He attacks Miracle. Needs 8, rolls 3. Fury rolls to see if he can remove the token: 4. What a silly sp that is.
Tony outwits Miracle's outwit.
Wasp makes Nighthawk's dv 18.

"I'll avenge my best friend," Dukes says striking out at the Frankenstein creature, "If I gotta kill a Rebel to do it!".
An arrow in the back takes the creature out.
"You're welcome, tubbs," Hawkeye says.
"Idiot! I wanted to kill him myself!" the man sometimes called the Blob fumes.
"The Frankenstein creature is down," Nathaniel Richards says turning to Hank Pym. "Perhaps it's time to ready our own Frankenstein for our next battle?".
"What....?" he asks.
"That Williams fellow. The one you called 'the Vision'."
Meanwhile the Starks watch on.
"Richmond's jet pack seems to be working wonderfully. It's almost a work of art," Howard says.
"Richards seems as good as his word," Tony says.
"Perhaps," Howard hesitates.
"You don't trust him, do you father?".
Howard ignores the question. "And how does our suit if armor fare? Will we see it in this battle?".
I agree this is a fun game, but requiring some very different tactics. Certainly with the sheer number of figures on the map, it's requiring more time to take each turn, though that should change as we get more KOs.
Longstreet's Leadership is 2.
Oracle and Atom Perplex Green Arrow's range to 11. Xanadu makes his AV11
Green Arrow on Hawkeye, AV11 on DV16 +3. Needs 8. Rip is at the ready with their PC though. Gets 2, then 6.
Gentleman Ghost on the Blob, AV9 on DV16. Now I get the 9. Question being whether Gentleman Ghost's Exploit Weakness cancels the Blob's Layers of Fat. I'm going to say no, because EW says the damage can't be "Reduced" which is what Toughness, etc all do, reduce damage. Whereas Blob's power says he "Ignores" damage which technically is not the same thing. So 1 to Blob.
Canary on Blob, AV10 on DV15 +1. Gets 10. Oh where were these rolls when Ollie was attacking. 1 more to Blob.
Marie on Kyle, AV10 on DV17. Gets 4.
Mr. Miracle Phases to I18
Speedy on Blob, AV9 on DV15. Gets 9. (Another one!) 1 more to Blob, which by my count puts him on his last click.
