Seems like they ran out of ideas trying to make the 'dactyl worthwhile. Carrying three allies? Okay. Gaining willpower and claws that can cut through anything? My suspension of disbelief just snapped.
You mean your suspension of disbelief when playing a miniature game? You normally get totally immersed?
I love these. New challenge will be to somehow land a hit with each one in a match. Only done it once with the previous set, now I have 2 more to try. That multi-carry ability on the pterodactyl makes him a must have for any Teen Titans team!
The pterodactyl dial is just scary good for 60pts. While there are a few situations where the other morphs have an advantage the move & attack + penetrating damage + indomitable is just the overall best imho. I dont see why it has exploit weakness and think its not very accurate, but whatever. Its not over whelming just a stretch for the character.
Staple on any animal team and can easily see multiples doing quite well!
Exploit weakness for "sharp talons?" We already got psychic blast for "well shot bullets" in this same set. It is now official that damage penetrating powers now have absolutely no semblance of restraint and are just being given whilly-nilly to whomever the designers feel could use them.
With that said, I am very glad that we're getting more Beast Boy forms, especially considering how glaring the omission of a flight form was. The bear and T-rex were too similar. The Aquatic form is very neat, but as said, he really does need some sort of movement penalty while on land. You know, because dolphins can't walk on land and such.
I think it's more just the way they created the morph mechanic. Beast Boy rarely stays in forms for very long, often swapping to several as the situations warrants it during a fight. In Heroclix, he is able to choose one form and just sit in it all game despite that not really being how his powers tend to operate. Not a problem per say but just something I realized when I imagined him fin slapping people for several turns in a row.

I fully expect if they ever make an Aunt May figure that she will have psychic blast, exploit weakness, or outwit.

How many people are going to repaint the dolphin and put Aquaman on him?
With a Titans set coming up, was it really necessary to have two Beast Boy figures in the Batman set? I don't think so. I would rather they saved the slots for two more Batman related characters and saved these for the Titans set.
I vote to give all Beast Boy animal forms the same keywords and team abilities the actual Beast Boy has. I mean he is still Beast Boy regardless of his form
Love the new forms! Though, I do wonder why the new ones are a nuclear green color and why the Dolphin's power called "Grab My Fin" has nothing to do with carrying. I hope that the DC75 animal forms get the Teen Titans keyword as errata!
Yeah almost seems like they meant to say his Combat Values are not modified during the action.
No -2 when carrying would have been nice.
