There have been like 6 sets and 300+ game pieces come out after her. Who has time to stop and play everything with new product coming out every two weeks? Only the cheesiest of the cheese makes that cut, and even then, it's usually only what other people saw people play at worlds with. She got played when she was out, and then it was on to Black Bolt, then Dr Strange, then Ghenis-Val.

So short answer, who has the time?

that's the point. She is still modern and a sleeper piece that know one would see coming n a competitive build.

Yep, she's amazing. I've played her several times, all with great results. Opponents tend to underestimate her until it's too late. She is a finesse figure for sure, and most people (as evidenced by some responses in this thread) don't have the time/patience/skill to make a figure like this work. She is one of the few DC pieces I kept when I sold off my DC collection earlier this year.

She's played well for me on tentpole Mystical teams with Justice League Dark running support. The Dark ATA reduces enemy range, somewhat helping to make her less of an easy target, plus she has Shape Change, plus Mystic feedback damage, plus I have either Zatanna, Shade, and/or Constantine for Perplex and Prob Control (or to make sure my opponent can't prob, via John). Seriously underrated figure. Run her with Detective Chimp and she's just a beast.

I think it's just a case of an obscure character not getting any love. Even in my case, she's not my go for Mystical tentpole -I typically reach for sm051 Swamp Thing, or jl52016 Enchantress in larger point games, simply because I know and love those characters from the comics, and Queen is just a character I read about once in an old Mark Waid JLA story. But of those three, Queen is arguably the best investment on points. Plus, it's neat to watch the Evil Queen from Snow White smacking Superman around.

A little known (~$5) SR in a set during a time period where we have characters and sets coming out the wazoo. There is Fast Forces Scarlet Witch and then there is every other character that doesn't get used much.

She holds the distinction of being my favorite heroclix piece not based on a character I've actually read. She is also the tent pole piece to my first kill ventry team, and has so far remained undefeated (against ventry).

I love the Queen. I saw her in a Wonder Woman (or was it JLA?) story years ago, and forgot about her. I pulled her Clik in a sealed event and instantly fell in love. I went back and read up on her and have since tried to play her whenever I can.

But she is more a finesse or specialty piece than a stright-up attacker. I've had mixed success with her (though whether because of the piece or lack of skill...not so sure...)

I team her up with 75pt GG GF Dr. Strange to share es/d plus another perplex, and 169 pt Dr. Doom for outwit and to copy mystics. Throw in scarlet witch for another perplex and prob and you got a nasty 4 man cell with perplexed defense plus es/d that makes fable's def a 21! Used this team minus witch several times and my opponents hated me for it!

I have multiple reasons why I don't like her:

-I'm not a big fan of the character.
-For her Keywords, I can pick characters I would rather play.
-Her stats don't hold up very well, lots of 2 damage an defense tanks pretty fast for a character that can be seen so easily.

I actually think she's great mechanically, but overall I don't play DC as much as I do Marvel. I played her a couple times when she first came out on Mystics teams. I had a combo set up with Sargon to switch Gold Kryptonite to the first opponent that picked up an object to make it more difficult for them to hit the Queen for that extra damage.

The defense and damage numbers don't bother me since there are plenty of good options for perplex in the mystical keyword.

Why isn't she meta?

164 points is why.

Generally in the meta environment, these days, you want a 160 point figure or less as you tent pole. Why?

160 + 40 IG leaves you with 100 points of support, or 2 Scarlet Witches/Enchantress'.

A measly 4 points from Mystical meta...
