lex can break the rule for special objects : in the rule book it states that you cant have two special objects with the same on your force
but lex will let you bring in thesmae kryptonite you have on the map at the begining of the game
i feel like these two ruling conflict each other.....lex let you break the object rule of name special objects but the rule on ganutlet with speical object cant be broken ? how does that make sense i wish that both rules should be simlar because both deals with outside game elements on your force ...

I like your way of think. My wife doesn't like playing this game sometimes because of stuff like this and I completely understand. It's a big turnoff. Which is why I hardly ever play this game with her anymore!
Boy, I sure have pissed off a lot of people lately on the interwebs. Sorry to all.
What about calling them "Papillomas?"
There is always the line of, "You may bring up to three objects on you force to a game"
Wouldn't adding any objects to your team break this ......by the logic stated here so far.....?

A good defense will only last for so long, before you must crush your enemies outright!

i'm sorry, i am unfamiliar with the ruling that says lex can break the rule of not having 2 special obs with the same name on your force? wish i could be more help i usually just defer to the rule of can't trumps can, unless a power or ability spells out that it can break a rule (like multiattack) then i try not to assume it can.
"Can't trumps Can" works pretty well as long as the circumstances are right. Rules for specific elements will usually provide exceptions the standard rules (except of course for the golden rules), allowing you to do things the rules say you can't do. But the conflict on being able to bring in a special object (Lex) versus not being able to (Gauntlet) is between two different specific element rules. So applying "can't trumps can" works.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
Have we seen a ruling on Lex bringing in, say, a Yellow Kryptonite when you've already placed one as part of your set-up? I'd say that doesn't work for the same reason you can't use Promotion or Split to get two fo the same unique figures on the map, but I don't see an official answer.

So, with his special power, are you adding the Kryptonite to your force?
If not, does your opponent score points for destroying it?

So I know this may be cutting hairs here, but humor me please.
So at the start of the game those objects you start with are part of your force. ie see next sentence:
You may bring up to three objects as part of your force to a game.
Next sentence restates it (new PG):
When building a force, players may choose 0-3 objects. Based on the number of objects a player chooses they can include:
1 object – any type (heavy, light, or immobile)
2 objects – any two types that are not the same
3 objects – one can be any type, the other two must be a heavy and a light.
So this statement from new PG says ok if I have an object that I pull in from outside it is now considered part of my force.
Game elements that are added into the game after it begins are considered to be part of the force of the player whose effect caused the addition.
So here is my problem and maybe I'm just not looking at it correctly but...
I can't add a special object when using a resource because it would become part of my force..
But given it says I can only up to three objects as part of my force to a game, unless I left something out at the beginning wouldn't it be fair to state I have reached my limit of adding stuff and can't bring anymore on, special or otherwise?

@ unstoppable, the three objects limit pertains to when your building your force after that you can add as many objects as a special power, trait or any other game element allows.
