If they had renamed the powers "Stolen Boom-tube" and such would you purity freaks be ok? This game is pretty abstract. Comics have all sorts of irregular events themselves to pu it mild. If Barrier and Phasing on Bruce Wayne ruin the game for you by all means, put the toys down and stop playing.
Stark: I don't get how TK equates to "i buy you"
Dex: You're moving people around
Stark: Oh, I guess so
Dex: "Here's a million bucks. Go stand over there"
Stark: He can MOVE objects, just not attack with them.
Dex: Right
Stark: "HEY BIG ROCK. Here's some dolla dolla bills. GO THAT WAY." "(rolls)"
If Bruce special power "Millions to buy anything or anyone" let him use TK, Then Tony should have a special power called "I can make anything. If Tony stark is on a light, heavy or special object, give this character a power action to replace this object with an outside object of your choice.
Uh... Okaayyy. So we have a bunch of powers that make little sense, even for a Batman figure. First money was Mind Control and now it is TK. Next time you design a bruce wayne how about using common sense?
Common sense rule number one.
Bruce Wayne is a front and the true identity is Batman.
Common sense rule number two.
Bruce Wayne is indeed rich but doesn't hire body guards.
Common Sense rule number three.
Bruce Wayne is resourceful but not wasteful.
Based on those rules here's what we should get.
TA- Batman ( Wayne is often dressing up like Bruce to spy on others, and get info. Stealth makes good sense, as he would be present but not the center of attention. Plus he is the Bat.)
Speed (Now things get tricky. As Bruce Batman doesn't act that much. But you could use a MC click at the beginning to promote a charity bid. Later in the dial give him Leap and climb and possibly charge. For the most part a bevy of powers in this category doesn't make much sense unless he's provoked into action.)
Attack: (Possibly smoke cloud, Incap, but not much else. TK is ridiculous. Why would a covert rich guy be throwing his money around to entice super heroes or villains to do the fighting for him? Feels out of character and gives the finger to deserving figures who have a legit reason for TK.)
Defense: ( Combat reflexes as a trait would be a good move here. Toughness, and Willpower also fit. Defend would be an interesting choice as well, especially coupled with a CR type trait.)
Damage: Give him perplex and outwit. A shape change in there works as well.
Range: Bruce should have a range value but only up close. no more than four with one target sounds about right.
Bottom line should be when you are dealing with Wayne you are dealing with a covert version of Batman. You attack him, he defends because he is Batman. He doesn't have all his gadgets or armor, but he still is very good at achieving what he needs in a situation.
What he doesn't need is a three way gimmick dial with phasing, mastermind, and telekinesis. Wayne should be a simple build that can be turned into Batman or reveals the surprise that he can actually hold his own in a fight.

Take your logic elsewhere!
Bruce Wayne can use his money to instantly levitate people to the tops of roofs where they can then instantly act in ways they couldn't if they had climbed (or flown) there under their own power!
He can instantly turn his money into giant obstacles that disappear moments later!
He has hidden panic rooms built in every possible corner of the DC and Marvel universes!
I always thought that if bruce wasn't going to just turn into batman then he should have one of the big things about batman: prep-time. He prepares for everything. I thought he should have an ability where he can give a token that will grant them prob in the upcoming turn, but it only works on attacks by or against that character. So you have to plan for the next turn, but planning for the right character gives you the best ability in the game. Something like that would be a neat thing for him to have. Forcing you to think ahead with your powerful abilities. At least it would be a little different.

I'm sorry, is our complaining about non-accurate dials interfering with your desire to have optimal stat/power combinations?
Special objects, feats, battle field conditions, event dials, and scenarios are all good for representing those "irregular events". The basic dial for a character is not the place for that.
"Character" is bolded there, because this game is supposed to represent specific characters and reflect their powers and abilities. When that starts getting thrown out the window than there may as well not BE a specific name on the dial and the game loses a LOT of its flavor and personality that is VERY important to some of us.
If they're just "toys" to you, then why play Heroclix instead of the hundreds of other games out there that don't try to link themselves to specific characters?
