Absolutely shocked that Alan Scott the Green Lantern of Earth 2 is not on that list (considering how crazy DC went wit publicizing it).
My daughter despises Nu52.

Kieran Culkin was a scene-stealer in the movie (as was the character in the comic). With the crazy sales that comic made, I think he certainly warrants potential inclusion.
Given her love of Scott Pilgrim (and Wallace, both in the books and in the movie), I'm pretty sure my daughter will kick herself for forgetting that one!
Robinson admits that the decision to develop the nu Earth 2 Alan Scott as a homosexual was in part a consolidation with Obsidian, since under this nu continuity, Alan Scott does not have Obsidian as a son and is much too young to have a son as old as Obsidian was. Obsidian covers this base IMO.

??? That's just plain bad reasoning. Afterall, they could've simply made Alan a bit older and included that he has a son who's gay, already a costumed hero, & between the ages of x & x....
Or just re-invented Obsidian independently of who his dad used to be.
The truth? DCs just full of crap wanted something to hype their newest book.
If you've got Moondragon, I think you need Phyla-Vell, too. Also, I don't think I saw Lightspeed and Striker from Avengers Academy on your list (two characters who are written very well, in my opinion).

Recently. He came out and is living with his boyfriend Rick Sheridan, the guy Invincible saved fro being turned into the kill-bot. He was worried to tell Mark because he thought once Mark knew, he wouldn't take him flying anymore.
Also Max Modell, significant supporting character in recent Spider-Man comics. Rather nicely done gay character as well. He isn't young and buff, he's in a long term relationship and the relationship appeared over time after he'd been introduced. Much like real gay folks, it his sexuality is just a facet of his overall character.

I also like Max because he'sa cool character who's fat, middle aged, and has a receding hairline.
Seriously.
You can go on and on about how race and sexual preferences are underrepresented in comics, but the truth is minority groups are represented way more than the things I listed.
