So I will ask the question here that I posed on the now-shut-down thread: does this have anything to do with people using nightwing to make mods for characters that wizkids is going to make in the future? If I make a custom of moon knight from nightwing, I won't buy new moon knight fig because I made my own. Or iron fist. Or whoever. It seems out there, I know, but could it figure into it alittle bit? Legit question. What do you all think?

To make it work we'd have to establish if we want him back exactly the way he was or slightly lessened (only DC keywords, etc).

The first post will say that anyone replying is in agreement to the petition (thus if you don't like the idea just be quite or start your own petition)

Lastly get everyone in agreement to just post so it counts as a signature, and email Wizkids the link to the petition so they can see how many people have signed it.

I would be totally fine if it was exclusively DC keywords. This would be great and I think if anything, there intention was to stop wacky teams like Nightwing on Skrulls, Avengers, X-Men, etc.

I say he is fine the way he was. It's not like he was as game breaking as figures like Chanos or Sentroid. He made a really nice filler for other teams and a nice tie up piece.

i agree with both of these posts. if we were to get `it changed to what the intent was, i think the fair comprimise is to do what they did to thunderbolts and make it universe specific. i mean i didnt like it when tbolts changed but at least it made sense. looking at the pg, everyone else who had similar powers didnt get screwed like gandalf and nightwing did. whatever prompted these changes must have been made for bs reasons and not logical ones.

I think someone at Wizkids might have played against someone using Gandalf and Nightwing on an Avengers Theme team and lost lol.

The biggest loss is the bonus to the initiative roll, over everything else.

I'm not bothered by the change, as I don't rely on themed PC or the map roll to determine the course of my games.

it occured to me that the only reason these 2 pieces were singled out is because the can make theme for any KWed team. thats why they errata'd every piece that had similar, not exact, wording. every other piece didnt bring what these 2 brought to the game. so anyone arguing that these traits werent what was intented is full of it.

I usually abstain from being all,"Wizkids/NECA totally got that wrong, or haven't they ever heard of playtesting?". But I'm going to throw my hat into the ring. If they want to errata Nightwing and Gandalf to use keywords from DC and LotR/Hobbit sets, respectively, that would be acceptable. Why can't they make the clix work as intended right away? It seems that there is an increasing frequency with the "that's not how it was intended" explanations. I don't even see why they changed them.

Here is my suggestion on the matter (taken from this thread Does Stan Lee still work on any theme team?)

If they were going to errata them, why not make it so that Nightwing can only copy named DC keywords, and Gandalf can only copy named LoTR/Hobbit keywords? Seems like a much better solution to me.

Complicated? Maybe, but infinitely better than the blanket solution the 'geniuses' at WK came up with.................
