Well that rule needs to be changed. Perhaps say only friendly characters can become a pilot, the player who owns the pilot controls the vehicle. Otherwise the vehicles are all haunted and eat their pilots... I can see this mechanic was well thought out.
How does someone keep a vehicle from spinning a resource? I saw a thread where a batmobile had charge and flurry, and they didn't have to spin the dial?
re reading this one, i think the way they do it is through that Catwoman Combo...cause with a Pilot wearing the UB doesnt mean anything to the Vehicle it is Piloting...unless the bonuses gained through the UB count when it comes to replacing Value (which i think i remember reading that it does NOT).
the Vehicle would have to roll the UB every turn it does a nonfree action unless say that Catwoman is within 6 squares of it when it ENDS the Action (which would be really hard to do with any Vehicle aside from The Bug)...
just chiming in, as i see you were asking about the VEHICLE having the UB and not the PILOT inside
I didn't know who had the belt, I just heard the car was charging and flurrying like a mad man... But, doesn't the batmobile just get a damage power that the pilot possesses (if it is batman, robin, night wing, or Alfred)? Flurry is a movement power?
What about colossal? I can find no rules against a colossal entering a vehicle, so can you MC one to enter and take out a 600 point char with that single combat roll? heh So broken!

If the car had Flurry, then the resource must have been assigned to the car. If the resource was assigned to the car then it should have been spun after every turn where the car took a non-free action.

The vehicle gets ALL damage powers on its pilots card all at once. So if you play with Batman with prob and outwit... You get them both to use as long as he is the pilot.
I think vehicle rules should also include indom and be immune to perplex...
A vehicle pushes, that should not hurt it! Its not exhausting itself because its an object that has no stamina per say.
And how do you perplex a vehicle? I could talk obscurely to my car all day long but it will never be perplexed as it has no brain.

hehehe, never dawned on me before but yeah lol...this is my answer to the Marvel Colossal's lol

There is nothing preventing this characters from becoming pilots. Just remember that if they do, you do not get points for them. So if they have no other characters on the board then the game ends and it goes to points.

Just opinions I would sure like to see.
Cars can wear and tear just as easily as people. That's why some have Willpower to show they can go that extra mile.
As for perplex there are many ways to enhance vehicles, some of which do have computers that you can talk to!

Just as easily as people made of metal maybe... lol
Sure a car can be scratched the same as a person, but a car wont bleed or be hurt... But I guess I can understand that...
But I still dont understand a colossal in a vehicle... If the base is bigger then the vehicle, it should squash that sucker!
No, but they have oil leaks, flat tires, bad transmition, low on gas, and plenty more.

(BAD LUCK WHEN I CROSS YOUR PATH: Other characters within 6 squares of Catwoman assigned a relic or a resource can't use the effects of the relic or resource.)
First turn: Catwoman pilots batmobile.
second turn: Prep belt to flurry.
third turn: rest.
fourth turn: Batmobile charge flurry, catwoman free action return to field
firth turn: catwoman CCE and free action to become the pilot, rest batmobile.
now after every action the batmobile takes have catwoman get out of the batmobile.
or you can just keep her behind it far enough to have it charge out of her range (returning its +2 stats and flurry) then LC her within 6 of the batmobile. Which sounds more useful when you put a red robin with leadership outwit and plex.
190 pts worth of figures and resources sitting there doing nothing useful until turn 4 sounds like a terrible plan...
That and you won't be getting the possible +1 +2 to your defense during opponents turns, and most of the vehicles could use it.

Not sure, but when it comes to the gimics and the fact of all the positioning, to rely on that many dice rolls can be dicey!
