Don't forget, those actions you're spending equipping hammers are also allowing those characters to use Quake as a free action, potentially dealing damage and spinning the dial as well if they have a first hammer equipped.

Reason: Misread dial spinning info
Bring on... Guy Gardner: THE WARRIOR!
Hey I just based you, and this is crazy, but here's my crit miss. KO me maybe?
Yes, I think it's great that we have a resource that doesn't promote tent-pole 'Big Guy and helpers' team making that the Gauntlet and Utility Belt promoted whole heartily.
And it's more expensive, so it will be harder to fit onto every team.
I look forward to seeing how people use it.
But those last few clicks are broken. +3 to all stats, impervious, outwit, perplex, prob, psychic blast and pulse wave, OMG :speechles
IMO, the UB was the anti-tentpole to the IG's tentpole, and this is different still. I like all three options for that difference, actually.

Yep. Time to get shooting while they're farting around.

So quake equals fart? That explains the knockback part. It should deal more than 2 damage, though, because I've known some people that can put you into te hospital with their farts.
Thank you for reading this. It makes me feel important.

Origamiman has been known to be lethal...

This will be my first time getting into Organized Play from the start. I've only just gotten into Heroclix and I'm beyond excited to finally get my hands on a resource dial!
Thankfully, this is a first event/participation prize, and not exclusive (like The Batcave).
Given the description of how the removed hammers work, I think they only have "relic" versions. It seems fitting that Old Man Logan was previewed with BoS, as his trait allows relics assigned to him to be replaced: Remove a hammer, give it to Logan; Logan swaps it out for something with the same or cheaper point value.
Depending on how much the most expensive Hammer costs, Logan could easily gain the Eye of Agamotto or Harvest's Staff with zero effort.
Hmm...
-Acts as a way to auto-assign hammers, and acts as a price reduction + power upgrade to include them at force construction
-Loss of accuracy makes it more playable (hammer swap + double hammer)
-Only one figure at a time gets Empowered By The Serpent's dial bonuses
-No way to stay on a given click of the Book except by intentionally not damaging opponents (or, you know, missing...or maybe Catwoman?)
-Can actually give 0 range characters point blank pulse-wave and near point-blank PPB by boosting their range
-Overall looks fun and awesome, very different from IG/UB
I cannot wait to get this thing complete and do a serious Worthy vs Mighty game with the rest of the FI set and some stand ins. Though it looks like that game will be at least 1000 points, which is fine.
Arguendo of the Beige Lanterns (Pedantry Corps)
Feb 2015: JL Trinity War has have given us the CSA, playable and together. Twice. ROCK ON!
REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it? Still no 19DV Defender? (WoS Groot doesn't count)
Power Girl AND Bust.
it took me a minute too. It's on the same click as #5 (the last click)

It's interesting, and I really like that it's not a tentpole builder. The belt is even more of a tentpole-piece than the gauntlet was, because you get the bonuses so much faster and it feeds alpha strikes. At least some people put the gauntlet on lesser threats in the hopes you'd ignore them in favor of the damage dealers (or draw attention away from the damage dealers). I find it funny that this item grants more support type powers (perplex, prob, outwit) than it does strength based, given that the hammers pretty much just turned you into a monster.
I think this thing is a lot more powerful than people are giving it credit for. Being able to give any character the bonuses makes it a lot harder to strategize against or alpha strike down, and the hammers themselves seem like a pretty significant power boost to whoever equips them. We'll have to wait and see, but I can see this being right on par with the belt, and better than the gauntlet.
