Well, since each month, a map covers two areas, I'm splitting each map to be played for 2 rounds. So first 2 rounds is side A. Second 2 rounds is side B. The faction with the most wins for each side will either conquer [if they're Worthy] or save [if they're Mighty] that specific side.
Also, for month 2, Paris is one of the map choices. In Fear Itself, Grey Gargoyle [with his Hammer] turns all of Pairs to stone. So I'm thinking of running a rule where at the beginning of a player's turn, roll two dice. On a result of a 2-3, everyone gets an Action Token [as if Grey Gargoyle is turning everyone to stone].
Just saying, another option could be when a figure is KO'd it stays in the square on the map and becomes blocking terrain...
I like the idea of the map switch as an evolving event. Nice.

The two judges at our venue want to play The Serpent and The Worthy. Take that point total and divide it by the number of players, probably 200-300 points depending on how many people show and how much the rest of The Worthy and The Serpent is.
That's an idea for an end of the even type dealio.
Yeah, the biggest problem with trying to run the FI event along the lines of the story is that it was not until the very end that The Mighty showed up.
If you really were wanting to get the feel of the event over the course of the tourney series, then the Mighty cannot play any Mighty kw figure until the very last few events.
And that's not fun for the Mighty players.
There are some good ideas, however, on the thread. The main point of the whole series was the rise of fear empowering The Worthy and The Serpent. The key will be to bolster the winning team while not completely hamstringing the other.
I liked the CoG/AoS events that let you use the Heralds you earned in the previous weeks (with the exception of Surfer, which was no fun).
I'd suggest possibly having each player pick a faction at the beginning of the event, and then possibly letting them "sub" in keyword/allied figures that they pulled/won during the previous weeks when building a force.
The problem is knowing whether or not the set is balanced enough to allow an equal chance for both sides to play/win using this format.

I like this idea quite a bit. It would allow more flexibility for the side behind in event wins to try and play catchup.

Mighty seems to have a bit of an advantage when it comes to sheer number of options. Maybe add in the Hoardes from the Scenerio pack to help with the balance? I have no idea when the last scenerio pack is going to hit so i'm not sure if those figures will come into play before month 6 or not.
-Villain team gets a bonus to map
-Opposing characters can only use their team ability if they are adjacent to a friendly character.
-Villains can use Steal Energy.
Benefits for Hero Side :
-Can use Charge or Sidestep or other movement helper.
-Damage +1 ?

I was kinda kicking an idea around like this. Basically, each Worthy would be allowed to include 1 worthy from outside the sealed game. Same with the Mighty. But you are right (or DS is right), the rub is the point value / power level between the two.
As I type, maybe it makes sense to have players bring a piece but its not added to the total but rather uses up some of their total points.
Also, maybe giving a bonus to any Mighty or Worthy that no one else fields might make things interesting.

As far as the results go, if the factions are relatively balanced among your players:
If the results are compiled among a sliding scale, you could have the winning faction get +x to their "first player" role each game and the losing faction could get 1 theme-pc like reroll per game to try to get more wins...
Of course, if the side's are lopsided, I'd go with that "can use a figure from your faction in addition to you your sealed figs" idea so that both sides can play a fig they like along with blind figs. (This assumes that there are no "broken" pieces that will give an improper advantage to one side or the other.
And of course there are site ideas, like people were saying for Paris/Grey Gargoyle...

What the @#$% do you mean, "revamp?"
B) Mighty will battle Mighty for the first two rounds while Worthy battle Worthy for the first two rounds.
C) Final Round, Mighty vs Worthy.
D) Winning Faction will be determined by average number of wins of each faction.
E) Each time one faction "wins" they can use up to 50 points of their build in Fear Itself constructed figures while the losing faction can use 25 points. What I mean is - Month 2 would be 400 points, sealed. The winning Faction can use 50 of those points from Fear Itself from the figures they already own instead of just sealed and the losing faction can use up to 25 points.
For month 3, it keeps increasing by another 50 / 25 points.
Those point can be used in figures, hammers, POGS, etc.

Here is how I'm dispersing prizes (in case anyone is interested).
One LE will go the the Worthy that as the best win/loss record while another LE will go to the Mighty with the best win/loss record.
The third LE will go to Fellowship.
Fourth LE, I'm not sure about, yet. I'm thinking either totally random, maybe something tied to critical misses - like most crit misses, or some such idea...
