Looking at Iron Fist I see he's on his 4th click....the Mighty Revert. Do you see this as optional or required? It means he'd have to revert and couldn't take an action this turn, probably a life or death move for Fist. What's your take?

The Revert is optional (otherwise, why even give him any further clicks of life beyond that one?)

7 actions for option 1 keeps it fair. With the other single team options, you're by default limited to 7 (well a few more I suppose if you use generics and move absolutely everyone). It keeps it from being wildly unfair if one of us keeps rolling 1s and getting to use twice as many figures
