may be mistaken but the wording of wild cats ata wouldn't prevent crit miss cause it says when a single die is a one you may re-roll that die where as when you crit miss both dice show up as one
then you would choose one of the 1's and re-roll it. I don't believe it's meant for 1d6 rolls only like leadership or b/c/f.

I believe you are correct by the way the final wording on the card says "...and one of the dice is a 1, you may reroll that die..."

I believe walls are considered blocking for movement purposes. We will double check though.

I have been playing/collecting Heroclix for one year and two months now and I myself create teams based completely from my own iterations and no one else's. However, I suppose I was raised to not ever even view a team as being "cheese". I feel that if a piece is legal and someone is using these pieces to the best of their ability than so be it. I myself can either learn from the experience and attempt to adapt to win the next time I play those pieces or I can kick rocks. On the matter of people copying and emulating other people's previously created teams is totally on them as a player. Perhaps they don't feel confident enough in their own team building skills that they must rely on others for their creativity. Don't they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? I guess I just don't like labels and when people are talking about playing "cheese" teams we should spend less time labeling "cheese" and spend more time figuring out how to take the "cheese" down.
I agree and disagree. If someone uses "cheese" every week then in my opinion they aren't a very good player. They are just using what is going to give them what they think is a guaranteed win, and I think that is bad. It is always fun to build something to take down the cheese and shock that kind of opponent and that is the fun part.

"...using this team ability makes an attack roll...." It's meant for when rolling two dice. Leadership is not an attack rool and BCF is when you are dealing damage from a successful attack. you would not be able to use this ATA to reroll those ones. I initially thought the same thing until I re-read it and re-read it and re-read it again.

It doesn't say "single die."
It says "Once per turn, when a character using this team ability makes an attack roll and one of the dice is a 1, you may reroll that die. Uncopyable"
-Roll your dice.
-Check to see if either one of them came up a 1.
-If so, you may reroll that die.
Doesn't matter if the other die is also a 1 or not.
(I'm pretty sure I phrased this better in another thread, but I'm tired and need sleep.)

In regards to the Batman Inc ATA, it wouldn't only effect Perplex would it? It would also effect Combat Reflexes, ES/D, CCE, RCE, Ench, empower...anything that buffs stats. It seems like its a Mini Outsiders TA.
Hey guys! Another great show! I just have a question regarding the N.O.W.H.E.R.E. ATA. The card reads:
Keyword(s): N.O.W.H.E.R.E.
Characters using this team ability that have no action tokens can use improved movement hindering terrain and improved movement blocking terrain during move actions.
During the show I noticed you guys mentioned using this ATA with characters that had move and attack powers, such as charge and running shot. My understanding is that charge and running shot require power actions to activate, thus they are not able to be used with this ATA which only works during move actions.
Thanks for helping to clear up my understanding. Can't wait for the next show!

You caught me on that one. You're right. Running Shot, Charge nor HSS would work with that ATA.
That'll teach me to try to podcast while the Stanley Cup finals is on.
Were the statements "...the horsemen figures aren't that good.." and "..they don't have indomitable or willpower" said? First off ALL THREE war, pestilence and famine have willpower on their last click. They ALL start with an 18 invulnerability. When you said they all "die the same" that means they have consistent dials and synergy with eachother. They all have move and attack/hypersonic speed that doesn't suffer from the -2 penalty because of their ATA. pestilence can deal penetrating poison damage to twelve adjacent characters while famine deals every adjacent opponent action tokens while war deals 4 penetrating damage. I obliterated an Ams 300+ pt Terrax power cosmic beatstick with these three. War was knocked off his penetrating clicks and used his "war" special to prohibit Terrax from using hypersonic speed etc. He could only make range combat actions. Terrax had shell head with a 19-20 defense. Famine used move and attack and rolled a critical hit ko' ing the herald.
I think players over look the fact that these figures are LESS THAN ONE HUNDRED POINTS! If used correctly they are broken simply because of their point value. If you think "there not any good" then your not using them right. But it is cool to hear about you using the convention exclusive Apocalypse with them efficiently. They make PERFECT mastermind fodder for apocalypse with their 3-4 clicks of invulnerability. I have never lost a game while using these guys.
The birds of prey/batman ATA that allows support as a free action is AWESOME! I understand that one if not both of you believe support is a useless power as you have said this before. But the majority of players I play against as well as myself use it all the time. It can be game changing to heal three or four clicks. Its also a great power to have when fighting a Mystics team. Attack then heal. Its not a "crutch" unless you allow it to be.
Besides our differences in opinion I continue to thoroughly enjoy your podcast. Its hilarious to hear and relate to your bad luck when it comes to leadership rolls. And I love hearing about the love for IG Thanos colossal! Remember not only does he force all opponents to lose keywords, but he prevents theme team rolls as well! He also renders Sharon carters stealth/avengers special too because no one will have the avengers keyword! The 400 point dial is one of my favorites. But I love how he has no move and attack powers for every dial....but then they make up for it by squeezing EVERY type of move and attack power in the game on his 500 point dial! He's a fun figure. Great show guys!

I agree. How do they ignore the -2 because of their ATA, they only get +1 because of the ATA and are you also using a fourth Horseman? You said the "three" but the ATA requires you to use at least 4.
Willpower on the last click is fine, but they are getting down to the nitty gritty there for it to be super useful. I am just surprised I won with them, and I think they could be better is all. But if you listen to the podcast, you know I am like that.
I actually took to keeping a small scrap of paper to write notes down on every time something came up that I wanted to comment on in the thread, because every time I think of stuff to say, I come to the thread and immediately forget what it is I wanted to say. I only bring this up because there are two different notes I wrote that I had to cross out because you eventually addressed them later in the show (the notes were "Outsiders team base?" and "IT'S GEO-FORCE")
I do want to bring up that you guys comment on the possibility on a Birds of Prey member with Support (aka Dove, or Catwoman if Batman needs a hand) using their Support and then getting the ATA's free action Support. I am pretty sure that doesn't work, because if you have a power on your dial, and some other game effect lets you use that power, even if it's a special version of that power, it doesn't take effect because the dial's power overrides it. Back when the Utility Belt stuff was first being previewed, there was that huge discussion on whether or not Poison Ivy could use the Smoke Grenades with her own special Smoke Cloud, and it was ruled that she cannot, the dial's power took precedence. I assume that rule would also apply to the Birds of Prey ATA, so sorry Dove, but no double-healing action for you, gurrl.
I'm also stupidly amused at the fact that somewhere in the tail end of the podcast, there was this moment where Steve repeatedly says "if you know what I mean" at least, like, three or four times in a five minute period, and I don't even think any of them were innuendos!

I remember this, but isn't this a different case because its a free action?

Birds of Prey
Once per turn, one friendly character using this team ability can use Support as a free action. When it does, it may only target a character with whom it shares a keyword and it subtracts 3 from the d6 roll instead of 2.
The ata let's them use support as a free action, where as the support on their dial costs a power action. With Poison Ivy and the UB she still had to pay the non-free action to use it, already possessed it on her dial and therefore couldn't use a different form of it. I believe this is a bird of a different feather, but I could be wrong.

Archangel is always used with them...or nemesis. Their ATA negates the -2 penalty BY MAKING IT -1 instead! And I disagree...they absolutely cannot be "better" for 99points. Compare them to other 99 point figures.
