Ok, my apologies if I am missing something, but I just looked through the rulebook, and I found nothing that said line of fire did not matter when adjacent.
lets think about this logically if I was standing right next to you, how then could I not "see" you at this point unless you were invisible. In regards to the game the only real thing I could think of that would make adjacent squares unable to see ea. other would be if there was wall on the line that separated you. sharpshooter ignores opposing chars and can make ranged combat attacks vs. adjacent chars. i hate being that guy don't mean to be rude it just seems like a way too easy thought process to be missed?
sharpshooter allows you to make ranged combat attacks against adjacent opposing characters, still following the rules of ranged combat and lof. it does not change how the ranged attacks work. if you are adj to an opposing that is in stealth you still don't have lof to them (unless you have the ability to ignore hindering for lof, like superman ta). check it:

Problem is heroclix rules have a habit of abandoning logic

1) adjacent characters are not 'standing right next to each other', the best estimate is that a square represents somewhere around a 5ft wide by 5ft long by 10ft high area (or 2mx2mx3m). so two characters in adjacent squares are not right next to each other, at best they are within 5 ft of each other or so.
2) Making a ranged combat action requires line of fire. There is nothing about being adjacent that changes that stipulation.
Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.
I suckered these guys into playing: Feedback Damage

You've never had someone hiding right next to you? Now you're talking about people who have mastered not being seen. I can see how you cannot see them. My problem is if you walk up to said person and punch them in the face, you see them. I have said many times that if you successfully attack an opposing character who is in stealth, the character who made the successful attack should be able to draw a line of fire as long as those characters remain adjacent.
Question: With Maximum Carnage if he kills two clicks at the same time with it which one follows his trait, one or both?
Jor-El:"Your name is Kal-El. You are the only survivor of the planet Krypton. Even though you've been raised as a human, you are not one of them. You have great powers, only some of which you have as yet discovered."

When a single opposing character takes damage from an attack by a character using this team ability, after actions resolve, choose another opposing character adjacent to the first. That other character is dealt damage equal to the amount of damage taken. Uncopyable.
From what i understand you will never kill two at the SAME time, especially with this ATA. with the ATA you would deal damage to a first character (possibly KOing it, then it would go back to its first non KO click) then you would have to choose another opposing character ADJACENT to the first. if you would KO that one, you already met the requirement for the trait and would then be able to KO it for good (the second character)
If he had something like Energy Explosion, make the attack roll, figure out who is hit by the splash damage, then your opponent decides in which order the splash damage is dealt (what will be the first character and what will be the last). if in that order a character would be KOed, then it would revert back to the first Non KO click then move on to the next character effected by splash then if any of the rest would KO they would be out for good. same thing with pulse wave.
This guy is absolutely amazing, especially with something like Skadi's Hammer. I can't wait to play him with the Maximum Carnage ata so I can watch my opponents space as far as possible from one another.
Gorgeously designed piece, both in terms of sculpt and dial. Yes, 154 points is a bit much to spend on a piece. In sealed, he's a bit of a risk. However, there are a few pieces of beautiful magic on this piece: RCE as a ranged combat action means you can Running Shot + RCE together for once, and the Maximum Carnage keyword means he can use the ATA to really dish out some sick damage in one given turn. If you aren't big on MC keyword, Marvel Knights will offer up some survivability and lots of fun team options. Beyond that, those last two clicks are DEADLY! Being able to claim a 0 or 2 square movement to stay in your current position for Running Shot, buff your range by +3 and AV by +1, then use the RCE to buff even further? That's a little stronger than I think anyone is noticing. All in all, this is THE superstar piece out of the set. He's going to be on a lot of my team rosters.
So his Trait: "COMPUTER: NO KILLING PROTOCOL: The first time each game an opposing character would be KO'd by Deathlok's attack, instead turn them to their last non-KO click."
Does this effect trigger once per game, or is once for every character that Deathlok gets to the KO line?
you know who COMPLETELY shuts him down? 208 Ultron with the drones...he cannot one shot any of the Drones, even though he should be able to one shot all of the drones...this is why it should not have been ruled this way. There should at least be some kind of way to get by this because all you have to do is swarm him until your bigger piece comes in and smokes his face. This was one of my favorite pieces and his power totally made since he is a prime, but now, he may not see much play from me =-/
