The Origin mini was just decent fun, but I couldn't tell why that (newly revised) story was being told.

Legion Lost started as a very weak book. The best part was, IMO the Culling...and I hate crossovers. I just picked up the other parts of the crossover so I will see how that holds up as a whole. I loved the characters used in Legion Lost and I am sad about the state of most of them in HeroClix.

The LSH itself had some very bright moments, but overall it was IMO as sour as the end of Levitz' run (Magic Wars) in the 1980s. The interesting thing is, even with pure nostalgia for established Legionnaires, I think Paul Levitz does his best with new members...so I have no complaints about Earth Man (this was pre-New 52) or the later new recruits being the focus of many issues...it was the tired over-arching plot that bothered me at the end.

Agreed. Levitz is past his prime in terms of Legion. Also, I enjoyed his last Adventure Comics run that focused on Legion academy moreso than his main Legion run. I kept expecting the New 52 run to get better.

I want to add that Paul Levitz is one of the nicest comic guys I have ever met. Even back when he was part of the DC executive publishing, he always made time for fan dinners at the Chicago Comic-con.

I sincerely wish that I was able to give the Longbox front-page article treatment to *any* of his Legion runs, but the LSH representation in HeroClix is depressing.

And yet, besides the VS system, it's the only game I know that utilizes as many Legionnaires compared to other DCU games.
