Story:
Captain America runs across the field and stops in the bushes next to Dum-Dum. He then signals Beaulieu who points his hands at Fury and he is lifted into the air by Beaulieu's respulor beam and dropped in next to Bucky and Dum-Dum.
Widow taps her comlink and states "There all some kind of animate corpse, the main one appears to be leading them, he is behind the large stalagmites on the other side of the field, in front of you Fury!".

Golems 3A

Story:
The largest of the secondary golems must have glimpsed Natasha as she dropped into the brush, because it rushed toward her position. The golem swung a large boulder at the Black Widow, but she wouldn't be taken down by such a clumsy attack! Natasha ducked under the blow and rolled back up into position, ready to continue the fight.

Out of the corner of her eye, Black Widow noticed the largest of the golems headed her way as well.
"Fury, Barnes, I need some help over here now!"

Actions:
Free: Leadership with the Golem, rolls: 1, epic fail.

1.) Golem B pushes with willpower to charge to J09 and attack Black Widow with the HO. 10 on a 17. Rolls: 1,3= 4. Black Widow escapes a knockout!

2.) Golem Leader (I'm changing his name to Golem Leader in the recap to keep myself from getting all these golems confused...) Golem Leader runs to I08.

Wow! This is really a hard game for me. Your defense values are awesome, plus you have invulnerable and I only have a few ways to crack that. Plus all that Indom too.

I really like that white king for the price, he is very good. I might buy some Wolvie clicks just to get him.

By the way that new Plasticity is awesome! Especially on large guys! Nice move

S.H.I.E.L.D. 3B

Story:
While being held at bay by the targets arms, Fury fires off some round. He thinks to himself. The size and power of these guys is amazing. Fury tries to radio for help, but their S.H.I.E.L.D. Radio is being stopped by some type of interference. Fury taps his comlinc ' Team these guys are big and we didn't bring the heavy weapons, try to make your shots count! Because you will only have a few and these guys are immune to most of our punches and bullets, and faster then us too!. He looks at Bucky, "If you have something soldier you better do it now, or Widow is toast!"

Captain America rushes forward and swings at the Golem Leader, but the leader is incredibly fast and strong, moving almost twice as fast as Bucky and steps out of the way!. Bucky was surprised by the speed of his target and it blocks him with its legs.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing looking at the dials. You only have a couple guys with 3 damage, so it's going to be tough to crack the Invulnerability on Thing, White King, and Molly. Not to mention Molly's 19dv :/

At least you have the SHIELD TA though!

Golems 4A

Story:
The Golem Leader came back in immediately after side-stepping Bucky's lunging strike. The Golem struck with the full force a two handed overhand blow weighted by a large chunk of the busted ceiling. Bucky tried to avoid the golem's attack, but couldn't get out of the way in time. With a single titanic blow the Golem dropped Captain America to the cave floor.

"Fury, Bucky is down! I repeat Bucky is down!" Black Widow screamed into her ear mic. Things had gone from bad to worse, and with one of the team's heavyiest hitters down they were running out of options.

One of the smaller golems seemed to act on the leader's que, and launched a small boulder toward Dugan and Fury. Nick caught a flash out of the corner of his good eye and pulled Dugan back behind cover just as the projectile skipped past.

Dum Dum was furious, "Is that how you wanna play it then!? I got somethin' for you right here!" Dugan jumped back out ready to return fire!

Actions:
Free: Golem Leader uses leadership, 4. fail.

1.) Golem Leader attacking Bucky with the HO. 10 on an 18 swinging for 5. Rolls 2,6= 8. That's a hit for 5 and just enough for the KO. HO is destroyed, and Golem Leader will ignore the push with indomitable.

2.) Golem A will throw the LO at Dugan. 9 on a 17. Need an 8 again. Rolls: 3,4= 7 and just barely misses!

Our game is on hold a bit! Rollin is working something out for us. Rather than have me retreat.

The giant mud golems advanced slowly and steadily. Fury and the agents slowly retreated firing off round but they just seemed to bounce or sink into the gooey flesh of the things. This fight would be over soon if he couldn’t think of something now. Suddenly Fury had an idea. This was a cave after all and these things were made of mud.

“Beaulieu, fire a grenade strait up!” he yelled across the small gap separating him and his men.

Unquestioningly Beaulieu loaded a frag round and pointed his launcher strait up. A low Thump sound from the weapon followed by a smoke trail upwards was the only indication that he had even launched the grenade. Only moments later the entire team hear the explosion and they all prepared for the worst ducking next to the Stalagmites they were nearby.

Moments later cave water and rubble drifted down from above raining down on the battlefield. The SHIELD agents were mostly unaffected. (eaglesti choose one character to take 1 unavoidable damage) but the Golems were clearly affected by the minerals contained within the water that covered their bodies. They shuddered and twisted as a layer of mud seemed to just melt away leaving them somewhat exposed.

-----The collapse causes all characters Invulnerability to become toughness and -1 DV to all Golems for the duration of the game.

------SHIELD chooses 1 character to take 1 unavoidable damage and that character is unavailable next issue





The nice thing is whether you win or lose it won't affect the story line for next issue!

Is toughness still toughness, or is it lost? And is the -1 a -1 for the printed value, or is it factored in with the rule of 3?

Ok, so is it my turn or Eagletsi? I took the last full turn, but I'm not sure if you're using the story post and lowering the golems' defenses and such as a turn?

I was wondering the same thing?

I assume it's printed value for DV, and this only effects Invulnerable. That would make sense to me

S.H.I.E.L.D. TURN 4B

Story:

Keying off of Beaulieu's shot, Widow Leaped away from the Golem near her and landed next to Fury and Dum Dum. “It looks like that weakened them a bit sir. Good Thinking!" , she said.

Dum-dum sat up his S.H.I.E.L.D helmet dented with a blow from a massive stalactite that fell on top of him from the ceiling. He shook his head, “Just like when me girl used to hit in the head with my dumb bells”, and he chucked. He quickly sighted in on the farthest Golem, and fired. The water had clearly weakened them and his shot struck its target. It gave the team a glimmer of hope that they may actually have a chance to win this battle.

1.) The Golem B crashes out of the brush past Captain America's fallen body, and scoops up a chunk of the fallen ceiling. The monster ends its move in H5

2.) Golem C moved on que from its brother, dashed around the melee coming around to stand beside the larger golem a H4. As soon as it took up the flank, the thing began to stretch out and surround the three S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in a wall of clay. (Plasticity/Giant Reach)
