I believe that some of the ROC events happening right now and the qualifiers for those events, at least Majestix one in Cali and the feeders for it, are all using the post-watch list rules. I'm not sure what wording they are going to be using for the rules.
Well, those house rules will significantly shape the meta. I am shocked they are instituting such game-changing house rules for such a major event. And not publicizing it that well. (Majestic may, I don't know about that event, but the smaller scale events aren't publicizing it well)

What else did you quote? Or do you mean the part you bolded within that quote? Not sure I understand that part.
Regarding MCing a vehicle, if Brother Voodoo has a Gauntlet, he can still MC a team base. You don't reassign the resource to the targets of your MC. That would be very odd.
Sorry should have kept it limited to teams playing resources like BoS not being able to MC a vehicle.
Thanks for the catch.
So is that the intent? A team playing with a team wide resource will be unable to MC a vehicle?

The actual event is in December. I'm not sure when the next players guide will come out.
The So Cal guys and Majestix players are some of the best in the nation. It's too bad its so far for them to make it out to the big east coast tournaments.

A team using the Book of Skulls can use MC to take control of a team base. So, it doesn't really matter how the rules for vehicles will change. A team using the Book of Skulls can still use MC to take control of a vehicle.
This is because the BoS is not assigned to MC'd characters as they were not there when the force was constructed and the BoS was assigned.
Agreed with Anthony that this one remains in the air until final wording in an official document sets the rules for Vehicles & Resources.
While I hope that they will not get the same treatment that Team Bases do (at least as far as the Book of Skulls is concerned) I don't honestly see them making the two different.
I personally remain frustrated that such an unnecessary and flavor related change was stuffed in with absolutely necessary game balance corrections, but that has been thoroughly explained elsewhere.
so to be clear, the BoS can or cannot be placed on a team with a team base?

BotS and team dials are mutually exclusive. You can't have one if you've got the other.
thats what i thought. thanks

I still feel that the rules as written do not come to this conclusion. Obviously this is what has been ruled, and I don't believe anyone wishes to revisit that argument with me, but I do hope it receives an internal review with design/rules-test and a clarification in the next Player's Guide (on several points - when it assigns, the fact that if it can't be assigned to a figure you can't use it, being assigned the resource is not required to utilize it, exceptions similar to the special object exception for created characters, etc.)

On topic: It seems weird to be able to mind control a vehicle.
Chrisdosmil kindly agreed to look into the ambiguities possible with the rules as written, while reinforcing the current ruling that they are mutually exclusive game elements during force construction. I merely wait for the rules to catch up with their rulings.

Where it really leaves the rails if you are trying to explain it with logic is mind controlling an un-piloted vehicle.

The final outcome should be that you can use a vehicle on a force entirely assigned a Resource, but you just won't be able to assign the Resource to the vehicle.
That's where we last were with the issue.
