I got to play a month 4 OP 2 weeks ago just now finally getting to comment about it.
The venue I played at got the times wrong for the regulars so we had to wait for almost 2 hours before the tournament started. (Don't ask)
Once we started I went for the HQ in all my games. I ran a fleet of 4 Ch'Tang (One named 3 generic) ships. Martok, Gowron and Worf plus a Generic Captain and the Command Bar.
Cloaking and going in for the HQ helped as I was able to get 4 of the 7 tokens which meant I got 20 more points already.
My opponent had a Klingon Build as well and his dice were on fire but when I scored critical hits on his ship, they were also brutal (Weapons Malfunction right before he fired and then Warp Core Breach which he rolled a crit for next turn!!) He was an 8 year old kid who knew his stuff which was nice to see.
Second opponent ignored the HQ and I went after it entirely, netting another +20 points as well as totally killing his team. His dice were not just cold, they were sub arctic cold. I think he rolled MAYBE 1 hit out of 15 dice. And he had the Elite Die which just game up BS.
Third opponent was the father of the kid I played in round 1, sadly at this point everyone who was late to the game had dropped so he and I and his son were the only three left in the tournament. I had already played his son, so I think technically he should have played his son but I wasn't sure.
Since the others had dropped I offered to just say we both take home a Sutherland and go (since we'd been there 4+ hours and he said he had another hour and half drive home) but he wanted to play it out. We did I went for the HQ got my 20 points then was unable to hit the broad side of the barn.
As we cleared out I went upstairs and the TO said technically the kid got 2nd place and that's what they were going to award the ship to, but because he didn't have a WK id and the father didn't want to sign him up with one the ship had to go to me. The dad got the first place ship, so I figured they had a ship and so did I.
The TO did give the kid an Elite Attack Die as he didn't have one from the first tournament.
After this tournament I decided that 4 Ch'Tang Ships wasn't as good as I had originally hoped. Maybe I'm just not running them correctly but the 3 hull REALLY hurts when some are able to roll 7+ dice at you and you can't seem to roll ANY evades (Ahh the curse of the dice gods).
As far as the OP month 4 I would say that the planet cannot be ignored as you can really hinder yourself on points if you ignore it. If you ignore it too long your opponent can be up on 35 points without having to fire a single shot at any of your ships and then he/she can just keep avoiding attacks and win.
For my next month 4 I plan on running a 3 ship POSSIBLY a 2 ship as it will be January and see how that goes.
Speaking of the Sutherland, mine came with two secondary torpedo launcher cards? Probably a mistake, but I don't think I'm missing anything, so I guess I just got lucky.
Nice, that's a cool bonus! And congrats on the win.
Now that we finally ran OP3 I started to finalize my build for OP4 (and we'll be on schedule after that!)
Very cool. I've been wanting to use the anti-matter mines, but haven't managed to fit them in yet. I think next month will be the month I do it (especially since I fully expect lots of cloaking in reaction to my torpedo beat-down).

It is a good tech card for Feds for sure. With the Excelsior letting you have the ability to do a full 6 move instead of a 4 or 5 then dropping it can be a REALLY good strategy.

First thing I played out of the box......Enterprise D/Engage/Antimatter Mines.......flyby, drop the mines, see the cloaked ships go away!

Ignore him, it's a Weapon card.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?

DO NOT CORRECT ME SMALL PEON I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!... Oh yeah it is a Weapon Card... I meant Tech card of 6 movement not the Antimatter mines... yeah yeah that's it...
It's too bad Weyoun doesn't work on Weapons upgrades. It seems like a waste to not have a crew that can take advantage of his ability. But there aren't a ton of options for the Dominion crew at the moment I guess. Glinn Telle might be good, to reduce the opposing alpha strike.

Omet'Iklan is a pretty good crew member. Most crew that can change dice have to change a blank or a battle stations to whatever they are supposed to do, Omet changes ANY 1 dice to a hit so it can be pretty useful when backed up by BS or the command token re-roll.
Not a lot of people play the Crew Disabling Crew just because it more often than not isn't worth it, but it is nice to have that level of protection behind Omet. The main reason I took Weyoun is the 6 skill. I really wish that there were more higher skill Captains for the Dominion, all the other main factions have a 9 and a 8 or two, but the Dominion's highest is 7.
Hopefully the Female Changeling will change that :D

Gor Portas 26
Toth Gor 4
Breen Aide 2
Dorsal Weapons Array 2*
Phton Torpedoes 4*
Jem'Hadar Attack Ship 20
Weyoun 4
Glinn Telle 3
That's what I came up with as the faction pure Dominion. Technically you could change out the Breen Battle Cruiser for a Koranak Generic and get two Cloaking ships in there if you wanted but wasn't sure if you had that so I left in the Gor Portas and it's nice to have that Dorsal weapons Array so you can fly by someone and still hit em.
Too bad the Orders prevent me from using Cyrano Jones...
Have you considered Engage instead of Dax on The Sisko? Similar effect but won't cost you your attack for the round. Use it to scoot past the enemy and then hit them with your torpedoes from behind?
