Same power, different question: Can a character replaced by this power be healed beyond the click it it comes in on?
SUMMON ANCESTRAL SPIRIT: IRON MAN: When Iron Paladin would be KO'd, roll 2d6 that can't be rerolled. If the result on either die is 5 or 6, you may replace this character with IIM #051 or IIM #052 on its starting line. If you do, deal that character unavoidable damage equal to six minus the result of the other die. Only one friendly character per game may be replaced through this ability.
Yes and no.
It technically enters play on the starting line, which can't be healed past. It takes damage after it enters play, though, and that damage can be healed, back up to the starting line.

Well possible trolling aside, would the pulsewave not 1. deal damage, 2. damage gets applied, 3. action resolves, and finally "after action effects" (knockback and KOs).
In other words, I PW rolling sucessfully with doubles, determine damage dealt (damage value, EE, multiple targets replacing my damage with 1, etc.), apply damage (turn the dial), and finally check for knockback (and apply knockback damage if valid, not ignoring abilities).
Knockback occurs during the action after damage from the attack is applied. It will occur before the pulse wave ends, so all powers will still be ignored.

When a player rolls doubles on a successful attack roll, the target is knocked back after any damage taken from the attack is applied.
KOs happen immediately, not after actions resolve.

DEFEATING CHARACTERS
When a [KO] symbol appears in a character’s stat slot, that character is defeated. Immediately remove it from the map; it is no longer part of the game.

I don't know, it seems to me after you deal damage, PW is resolved and therefore you could use the trait. You don't take feedback from Mystics because it says "when you take damage from an attack", and taking damage from an attack is part of the PW action and therefore ignored. Is KOing a figure and removing them from the map part of the PW action? I guess what I'm getting at is, at what point EXACTLY, does PW resolve?
