John Stewart decided to check in on Mar-Vell and Beta Ray Bill. He saw they were struggling against their opponents so he lent them a hand.

The General was lifted against his will by John Stewart's ring power and deposited on an another lonely asteroid. John then left the two heroes to deal with Major Force and the parademons on their own.

Sunfire was brought before the Ogre Mage; Oni Kuromasu, at a neutral location.

Sunfire initally succumbed but the Ogre Mage saw that he was too strong to remain under the Mage's spell for long so he cast a forget spell and ordered the Silver Samurai to try a different tactic.

The Silver Samurai offered to be Sunfire's second in the protection of Tokyo.

Sunfire readily accepted The Silver Samurai's offer and beamed at the thought of his cousin abandoning his evil ways to support Sunfire.

Day 29: An alternate Earth in an alternate reality where heroes and villains from other universes are forced to coexist.

Mia Deardon was working hard to deserve her status as the new Speedy. So many of her heroic colleagues were missing, yet neither Green Arrow, Roy Harper or Black Canary had been taken.

She wondered how she would cope if it happened to her. Since she needed an Aids cocktail regularly, she was certain it would be disastrously fatal if she were taken. The Aids cocktail was all that kept her alive.

She was grateful for her life and the tremendous training so many have given her. She barely could acknowledge the threat to her life because it frightened her so much. Because of this, she worked out excessively to remain fit.

She began woolgatheriing and without meaning to, stepped right into a rift that threatened to separate her from the elixer of life, she desparately needed.

Early morning: well before dawn.:

The H.I.V.E. trooper couldn't figure out what had happened to him. Why was he outside the city limits of Toronto?

How was he expected to be effective if he was suddenly alone in public in his H.I.V.E. gear.

He was just a H.I.V.E. grunt. He looked at the Toronto skyline with a degree of trepidation as he only wanted to be seen as a H.I.V.E trooper in the midst of several others. Now if he was arrested, he was done.

Mia Deardon emerged from the rift and spotted the H.I.V.E. soldier. She put her personal problems aside as she began to respond to the threat but inwardly she was relieved to see that she had appeared near an incorporated area and should have some means to enable her to continue to receive her meds.

Roy Harper had briefed her about the H.I.V.E. so she knew what she was dealing with even though she'd never confronted them before. She took him out quickly with a knockout arrow.

It seemed odd that there was only one of them. As she knelt over his prostrate form two superheroes she'd never seen before appeared beside her. They were superspeedsters and both supermodel level attractive.

They introduced themselves as Northstar and Aurora. They looked like twins and Mia developed an immediate crush on Northstar.

They were shortly joined by more superheroes and Mia was told they were members of Alpha Flight. The one called Vindicator told Speedy that she was their leader.

Mia introduced herself as Speedy, Green Arrow's sidekick. The Alpha Flight members seemed as if they had no idea who Green Arrow was, that's when Mia had an inkling that she was not on her Earth.

She was relieved when they asked her if she was a member of the Justice League, the Justice Society, Teen Titans or the Legion of Superheroes. They then explained that they were from a different reality from hers and had a similar experience as she when they arrived.

Shield agents arrived and took custody of the H.I.V.E. agent and took Speedy to get debriefed at the facility.

Every H.I.V.E. agent that existed found themselves on the outskirts of a strangely silent Star City. All except the one that was currently in the custody of Shield.

The H.I.V.E. agents fanned out through the city. All of them were unnerved by the complete absence of life in the city. It was like a ghost town without the decay. Like a Twilight Zone episode.

This didn't last long as the city was invaded by AD&D demihumans. Specifically a force of goblins, hobgoblins and bugbears. The H.I.V.E. troops found themselves besieged and fighting for their lives in a very bizarre scenario. The Hive troops had superior weapons and drove them off.

The city was too big though and the Hive troops could not drive the goblin forces out. They simply secured a radius that included a hotel and a mall and held the invading demihumans off from there.

When Speedy got her meeting with Nick Fury, Cameron Chase and Mr. Terrific, she learned a great deal. They learned something too. The likelihood that Star City was a probable addition to the many DC cities that were likely recreated here in this reality.

Shield agents were already streched thin so science police along with only a few Shield and Checkmate Agents, were sent to look after the city.

Professor Xavier was asked to spare a force of X-Men to help secure it. Banshee would have to wait til later to join Moira McTaggert. When Wolverine returned with the Blackbird they set out. Banshee, Wolverine, Colossus, Iceman, Havok and Polaris were sent.

Mary Marvel joined Batman, Robin, the Huntress, the Halle Berry Catwoman and Spoiler.

The plan was that Mary Marvel would engage Titania first while Batman kept the Absorbing Man busy. The others would tie up the Hobgoblin, Harley Quinn, Clayface III and the Penguin until Mary Marvel could help with the Absorbing Man. They were counting on Mary Marvel defeating Titania quickly if Batman failed to trick the Absorbing Man into defeating himself.

Captain Cold was given his audience with the Crimson Cowl. To his delight, she'd brought Bane with her. He offered his promise of an alliance between the Flash Rogues and the Masters Of Evil. Bane knew their reputation and suggested she agree.

She wondered how much help the Rogues would be with only two members but accepted the alliance.

Batman and Mary Marvel confronted the Penguin and his forces. Batman distracted the Absorbing Man while Mary Marvel gave Titania a flying tackle and flew off with her to fight in a safe secluded area.

The Halle Berry Catwoman engaged the Hobgoblin in battle. She had a slight edge because he too, couldn't get over her resemblance to the famous actress.

Robin and the Spoiler tagged up against Clayface III while the Huntress sparred with the Penguin.

Queen Bee learned that the Hive forces she'd taken over before on Earth now were operating on this new alternate Earth from the Midnight Rambler. She and Maxima headed immediately to Earth to take control of them. She contacted Mongul and Despero and called for them to join the two female despots.

Despero saw this as an opportunity to isolate the Hulk for a rematch. They joined Queen Bee and Maxima.

Galactus had devised a plan to capture the Phoenix Force when it restored itself so that he could consume it. He was convinced that if he consumed the Phoenix Force, he would never be hungry again.

Two Phoenix Forces could only reinforce that.

He resolved to wait at the point of their demise.

The Science Police and the X-Men arrived in Star City and immediately began driving the invading demihumans out.

It took them a few hours to discover the compound occupied by the Hive terrorists.

For Speedy's protection she was sent to stay with the Teen Titans. She convinced the Titans to take her out to Star City. . They agreed, hungry for adventure.

Titania put up a good fight but she was no match for Mary Marvel in the long run.

However, the fight took longer then Batman counted on and the Absorbing Man had been tricked so many times in the past that Batman was having trouble finding a trick that hadn't been used on the brute.

Meanwhile Hobgoblin overcame the Halle Berry Catwoman, but not without sustaining some damage. Robin and the Spoiler tricked Clayface III into making a mistake and put him out of commission and immediately found themselves faced with the Hobgoblin.

The Penguin was still giving the Huntress trouble.
