I have another question about this same trait. Why does it have such strange wording?
It's the underlined wording above; I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing when I read it out strictly as written. Example:
Detroit Steel is about to be KOed and Sasha Hammer is on click 3.
Sasha's player rolls for her trait when Detroit Steel is dealt enough damage for a KO.
The result is a 6, so the trait activates.
Therefore, Detroit Steel is returned to the map on a click number that is 3 clicks away from its starting line.
So starting from Detroit Steel's starting line, I click the dial 3 times.
Now Detroit Steel is placed on the map and Sasha is KOed.
Detroit Steel is on click number 4 - because 4 is 3 clicks away from click #1.
The other way that could be argued is for Detroit Steel to be placed on the map on click 3. But if that is what is intended by the game designers, then wouldn't that underlined part of the trait say "on a click number that's the same number of clicks from its starting line as Sasha is." ?
Because older clix do not have numbers on their clix. This way if you said "on the same clix number" it wouldnt work with those older clix.
That and Wiz Kids likes to have their SP wording put through a English/Chinese/Japanese/Welsh translator before printing.

I interpreted that it was the same click number, just poorly stated (for the old figures without "click numbers" as Red King pointed out)... so if she was on click 2, then Detroit Steel would be on click 2. Did I give them too much credit for the "poorly stated" part?
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

If Sasha were on click #2 when "Steal a Dead Man's Armor" triggers, the character brought back will come in "on a click number that's the same number of clicks from its starting line as her click number." This means Detroit Steel would now come back on click 1+2, or click #3.

Huh, that kind of sucks, but makes "sense" (that they took damage so it won't be perfect armor). I guess I did give them too much credit that they said it poorly. LOL!!

the guy does indeed come back 1 click down from where Sasha is
This is incorrect. The character returns to the map on a click number the same clicks away from it's starting line equal to the number of clicks Sasha is from her starting line.
If Sasha is on click #3 when the effect is used then the character would return to the map also on click #3 (assuming a starting click# of 1). If the character had a starting click #of 4, then it would return to the map on click # 6.
The wording isn't perfect, but it has been discussed and that is the intent.

Fixed that for you.

No. You didn't. Do not quote me only to provide an incorrect answer.
Sasha is on click number 3 when her effect activates. That is 2 clicks away from click number 1 where she began the game.
2 clicks away from a character that began the game on click number 4 is click number 6.
Huh? Are you sure? I thought the new guy comes in a number of clicks in equal to Sasha's click number, not equal to the number of clicks in Sasha was?
If Sasha is on click #3 and the dead guy with armor had a starting line on click #1, doesn't he come back on click #4?
I think I'm either misunderstanding your answer or this power, and I'm not sure which.
The underlined portion is confusing me, I think.
Steal A Dead Man's Armor:
When a character with a different name, the Armor or Robot keyword, and 150 points or less would be KO'd, you may roll a d6. On a result of 5-6, return that character to the map in Sasha Hammer's square, on a click number that's the same number of clicks from its starting line as her click number. That character is now a friendly character and Sasha Hammer is KO'd.

You're misunderstanding both the ability and the answer.
The character does not come in a number of clicks away equal to her click number. It comes in a number of clicks away equal to the number of clicks she is from her starting line as designated by her current click number.
Sasha is on click number 3. How many clicks is that from her starting line? The answer is 2. The character that is returned to the map is brought in that same number of clicks from its starting line (2 clicks from whatever its starting line is).
The wording isn't perfect, but that is the intent.

What you are missing is that Click 1 is 1 click from the starting line.

Not to disagree with an orange, because I agree with the final result. The trait says to bring it in as many clicks from the starting line as her click number, not the number of clicks she is from her starting line. These are the same if we accept that click 1 is 1 click from the starting line.
What you are missing is that Click 1 is 1 click from the starting line.
When I refer to "clicks", I refer to the act of physically clicking and turning the dial. A character on click number 1 is 0 "clicks" from its starting line. A character on click number 3 is 2 "clicks" from its starting line.

What people seem to be missing is the word SAME. You bring in the character on a click number that is the SAME number of clicks away from its starting line as Sasha's click number is from her starting line.

What I was missing was the part I underlined. I didn't understand that is what you were originally saying. I thought you were saying "Look at Sasha's click number. The red number 3. Now bring that other character in 3 clicks from it's starting line because that's the same number as that number that was showing on Sasha's dial."
Thank you for explaining in more detail. It really helped me understand this
