The golden rules which are labeled as such in the rule book. They are on the whole left side of page 7.

Not to sound confrontational but what makes this concept of needing an action to attack so fundamental? It is not in the golden rules so why so absolute in your mind?
Cuffing Centurion and throwing a Pog or sacrificial piece onto the Torpedo is still a valid way to eliminate the torpedo he just spent half the match charging though. He's incapable of actually doing anything until the "during" phase of his turn, and so he can't take the free action to do the Torpedo Shuffle. That means he must make the torpedo attack before uncuffing himself.
It sure seems valid. I know if I think he's coming I'll be considering packing some bat cuffs. Fuzzy Bat-Cuffs.
"It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak." "Prove you have the strength and courage to be free."

The fact that everytime you a clix dose something on the map it takes an action to do so doesn't sound like a fundamental practice that the game was built on to you? They changed a nice chunk of the game just becuz of a hand full of clix out that could attack multiple times using free actions but the allow something like this just seems kind of funky ya know
Agin I don't disagree it's just one of those things that even thought I believe that 2+2 is 4 I'm not going to tell the whole school that until I check with the teacher ya know
But, a free action is still an action and with the cuffs on the character "cannot be given any other actions until it rolls a 4-6 for this effect." (The effect being the power action to remove the cuffs). Now place Leach next to him and watch as he sits there, doing nothing.

Or Unspoken beating the snot while they sit there or Indigo if you want to stay modern.
Really, Thebob366, I understand your confusion, but as I've recently told people, at least 90% of understanding this game is reading comprehension. When something creates an exception to the standard rules, it controls.

At the beginning or end of your turn, if the marker's square is occupied by an opposing character, you must remove the marker from the map and make a close combat attack roll against that character with an attack value of 11 and a damage value equal to the number of Acceleration tokens on this card, maximum 7.
Nowhere in this does it say "as a free action." You just do it, like Probability Control, Enhancement, or the Range bonus from the SHIELD TA. You mention not telling anyone else that 2+2=4 unless you check with the teacher first, but eventually you have to learn math on your own. How else do the teachers become teachers? They simply learn what they're doing well enough to do it on their own.
Indigo is too finicky with needing to always have just 1 token on her and Unspoken is very expensive. (but he too is modern age)
kinda… but indigo can still do her fee action every turn though… if i face a 300 point team base (or any team revolving around one figure) with indigo and someone to cuff the base, its good game...
"I've seen EVA take out a belted Tyr... anything can happen"

Precisely. 136 points for other team members should ensure that you can keep the main threat tied up. The only teams this doesn't work so good on is a team with smaller somewhat equally pointed pieces.
