My venue has a binder that he has PnP copies of all the feats, BFCs, and ATAs in. It's pretty handy.
I actually created such a Binder at my venue. It includes all Keywords for non - carded characters as well. I do need to update the ATAs though.

I think you definitely need something. It's kind of the principle; even if everyone involved knows what the ATA does, it's basically the same as that player saying they're too lazy to pull it up on their phone, much less print it out.
I know a lot of venues won't let you use a copy on a phone, but I don't see the problem with that. As long as the phone stays on the table so there's no question it's not being used for anything else than who cares?
I think the problem here is that it could be an altered version.... but not in a tournament? Go for it!

The tournament rules forbid all electronic devices, so that is going to be a big No at WK sponsored events. At your local venue, ask the judge.
All electronic devices, except filming equipment. Most of the current rules team said they approve of the use of filming equipment at tournaments when it was brought up in that note-taking thread.

As it has been said in the thread already, ask the judge. It is not your call to say whether something is allowed or not. True the tournament rules may say so but, they mainly apply to an official Wizkids event. Your venue may have specific house rules so speak to the judge before raising a stink.
the House Rule is that if its something carded, like Feats, you need only 1 copy of said Feat no matter how many characters have the Feat.
and i dont care, it should BE DEFAULT TO ANY VENUE to require at least one copy of Cards in question. my issue arose over the use of a ATA (hard copies only gotten through Cons, but PnP is ALWAYS an option)
again, the game in question WAS a tourny, but not anything serious, but a TOURNY never-the-less.
i love the idea for the binder with everything printed in it. although, an entire Venue looking through one binder seems like it would drain some time. i think everyone playing should be responsible for their own things. its NICE when a Venue steps up and makes things easier on their players, but something like PnP a ATA or a Feat or something similiar, should be easy for anyone spending the money that we all do on this game to print something out. dont have a printer? there is a Library and if Printing is not free then its only 10 freaking cents a copy, you can fit a lot of these little cards on one page.
thank you everyone for yalls freedback
there seems to be a common opinion that the Card should be present in some fashion. i just wanted to make sure there wasnt some unwritten thing amongst players to ignore certain aspects of the game

There is not an unwritten rule for that, but there seems to be, quite unfortunately, an unwritten rule stating that in such a case where one player wants to adhere to the rules and one player does not then the player who wishes to abide by the rules is automatically deemed to be acting like a dink.
This situation of yours is an example of that. You wish to follow the rules and have everyone using the correct number of copies of all game elements. You are facing a guy who does not wish to follow those rules, but you would be the one called a dink if you pressed the issue rather than the guy who can't get his act together and bring all of his stuff.
It's a very unfortunate, yet widely held, notion. I can't quite grasp why it is.
yeah, not just my opponent was snarky over it, but the person playing next to him as well. i dont know if i was more offended by the treatment of the subject or the fact that it wasnt even my opponent that offered a write up in the end, another play did through his phone...
thanks again for all the imput, i am going to bring this to my judge and let it go from there
I'm actually thinking about implementing a rule at my local venue that a printed copy of an ATA is required if it's going to be used on your team.
It's less a cheating issue (although that is possible), but more of a convenience issue. I've had players have an ATA and forget they had it, because they did not have a card to remind them. I've also had players not bring a card and misquote the ATA effect to their opponents.
It's just easier for everyone if a printed copy is brought.

Oh, I can imagine.
You got some support here, but if you're having a great day and feeling good about yourself, feel free to put an end to that quickly by posting your story over in general discussion. I'm sure that at least a couple dozen d-bags would be more than happy to inform you of what a dink you are for wanting to follow the rules.

hahaha for sure!!! i totally posted something last year about my winning streak and this total dink cheese team i wanted to play and i remember my OP was taken over by this guy and his obsession with some dude who won some Street Fighter something or another...

Must be why Wizkids suggests bringing the cards huh? LOL
The card should be there in some form. Period. Dont feel like a dink for asking for it or wondering about it. I have forgotten or misplaced a character card or two in my day. Usually someone else has the card or I can bring it up on my phone or something but I wouldnt dream of sitting across from someone and telling them to take my word for it, that SP in the attack slot says "Anytime this figure can draw line of fire to an opposing figure and the controller of this figure can yell "DIE!" the opposing figure is immediately KO'd" just trust me. Thats exactly what it says.

That surprises me, actually. I don't think I read through that thread, though.
Were they speaking of a 3rd party setting something up to film it, or were they saying that one of the participants could do this?
If it is one of the participants, did they say that this would require the blessing of the other player? I know I would most likely be put off my game if I knew it was being filmed.
