(Special) The Artist: Once during your turn, if Kyle Rayner has no action tokens he can use Telekinesis (option 2) as a free action.
What does he let someone do?
From the PG:
"Any reference to an "option" of Telekinesis is resolved as follows. Option 1: A is an opposing character; Option 2: A is a friendly character or A is an object placed with no attack; Option 3: A is an object placed to make an attack."
He can use his free action TK "Option 2" to place anyone out on the battlefield during the beginning of your turn, enabling the figure to have a hammer dropped on him on turn 1.

He TKs as a free action at the beginning of your turn, which allows that character to be far enough away to have a Hammer dropped at the beginning of the turn.

This is not quite correct as there are some actions that can be triggered when it is not your turn, but when that happens it is always pointed out in the rules text. One example is Mutations and Monsters Wrecker:
TURNabout: When Wrecker is the target of a close combat attack resulting in a critical hit or a critical miss, if he possesses Turnabout after the resolution of the attack he can as a free action immediately make a close combat attack targeting the character that attacked him.
Another that more people are familiar with is Big Figure:
THIS PLACE IS GONNA EXPLODE!: During your opponent's turn, immediately after a character friendly to Big Figure is defeated, Big Figure or a character friendly to Big Figure can make a close combat attack or a ranged combat attack as a free action.
So... in some very specific cases you can in fact take actions during your opponent's turn. But aside from corner cases like these, you are correct.
Also Con Exclusive Old Man Logan! Although it only can happen once per game.
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDIN'!: Old Man Logan can use Toughness. Once per game when this click is revealed, stop turning the dial and Old Man Logan may immediately make a close combat attack using Blades/Claws/Fangs; if the attack deals less than 3 damage, deal Old Man Logan 1 unavoidable damage after actions resolve.
Don't believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you! Set your sights for the sun!

In that case, no action is given, so I guess the attack just sort of happens...
Unless I'm forgetting something, then Kyle is the only one with TK as a free action. It's all I could find in the PG, but maybe there's something I'm forgetting released since the last one.

AvX Magneto;
ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THIS, SCOTT?: Magneto can use Energy Shield/Deflection and Telekinesis. During the beginning of your turn, if Magneto has two action tokens, he can use Telekinesis as a free action, but may only use it to place friendly characters.
SLoSH Cosmic Boy;
MAGNOBALL CHAMPION: Give Cosmic Boy a power action and he can use Telekinesis twice as a free action. When Cosmic Boy has two action tokens, he can use Telekinesis as a free action.
I am fairly well aware of how free TK works but I thank you and MisterID for offering clarification, I just was unclear why you had stated Kyle as tho he was unique. I assumed you probably knew pieces better than I do just because you are so much more of a veteran than I am. Thanks for clearing my confusion.
You can also use the GCPD ATA with a GCPD vehicle and Split Lip to this effect as well. While the ATA restricts the vehicle to moving 4 squares, you place the carried character in the 5th, making it eligible for a hammer. Can't give it a non-free action, but Split Lip makes it a free action to pick up.

Yeah if the OP didn't like Insider than he is gonna hate when DC10 Lex runs up shoots the pee out of somebody, then picks up a hammer, Quakes and gets bigger (all free) for his next free shooting match!

You talk about that Wrecker so much, you better be playing him at your venue all the time!

I don't even own M&M Wrecker, I just feel Big Figure gets too much of the spotlight.
I did play the IIM Wrecking Crew last night though and managed to demolish an Avengers team from the AVX starter...
Let's not forget Astral Dr. Strange, whose free action Phase allows him to get ahold of a Hammer at the top of the 1st turn.
Give him Kuurth's, and break everything.
Or if a sidestepper carries out another sidestepper, you can get to 5 squares out 1st turn before any non-free actions.
Alright now you are just trying to make the OP quit or cry. Wait til somebody uses Shatterstar to port the astral, drop Greithoths hammer on astral/ quake, then phase carry both of them behind a wall. Of course you need Splitlip to pull that but that means it hasn't even ended the beginning of turn.
