The 10 attack on the Secondary weapon just screams that we are either getting a new starter or we finally getting some dice packs. If not then I will be surverly disappointed.

Not going to happen, since we know the Enterprise E and cube are coming as expansions later, but it would be pretty awesome.

You knew the Borg were going to be powerful though. 10 attack dice for 1 attack?? That just feels nasty nice!

With them having a 7 hull and 7 shields that's 14 points of damage you'll need to go through before you get em, I can really see the Assimilation being something that repairs their shields/hull each turn and gets a card/captain off of an enemies ship.

Now I just have to wait until it's spoiled and then for April before I start to abus... I mean use these guys :D

As far as I know we aren't getting the normal Cube, and that would be awesome to put in an updated starter.

Not sure what else we could put in that though. But I would love some more dice.

Ent-E, Cube, dice, a set of movement guides, and an assimilated planet token and I would be good.

I thought we were getting both the tactical and scout cubes, so the tactical cube was (most likely) going to be the first "big ship" for Star Trek, and the scout cube would be a normal-sized expansion.

At least that's what I inferred from the WK facebook page, when they did the "12 days of Clixmas," and the 10th day was all Borg, with both cube sculpts (as well as the sphere, diamond, and assimilator).

A Borg-themed starter that included some of the partially assimilated ship sculpts, and those ships having dual-faction icons (maybe counts as the faction of the captain), would be interesting...

That is all correct, according to what we've seen/been told.


What I think PaxZRake is talking about is there are 3 sizes of Cubes the first one we saw (maybe?) is often referred to as the Borg cube (and might be the biggest one) then there is the Tactical Cube witch we just got in Tactics, is expected to be the first bigger base release for AW in Wave 5 (and I think was the more common one we saw in Voyager) and then there is the smaller Scout Cube which we also just got in Tactics and will appear in Wave 7.
(I think, that's what I've been able to piece together.....from people who seem more informed than myself)


Having said that, there is at least 1 digital sculpt of a borg cube that has not been used yet, as far as I know, (here: http://boardgamegeek.com/image/17445...clix-tactics-3) and one theory going around is that it might be used for the Borg Cube (maybe in the Borg OP event?).

I wonder how that 10 point secondary attack will be balanced. Probably high cost, and possibly a discard power.

Hmmmmmm. That's very interesting. I had assumed that the Tactical cube was going to be the largest we'd see. I've never noticed the other Borg Cube sculpt before or even knew it existed.

The Tactical Cube is supposedly on a 2x2 base for Tactics (I never saw one personally) and if that rendering is in any way exact (and on a 2x2 base) we may be seeing the Month 6 prize for the Collective OP event and it's going to be HUGE!

I can't remember if it was a local or on BGG but someone had suggested that in the vein of DS9 a participation Large Token could be one of the early events followed with the actual Cube sculpt being a later event (participation prize for the final month?).


But yeah, three Borg Cube digital sculpts, only 2 used. It's going to be used for something.......unless it got vetoed, which seems unlikely.

The Tactical Cube is on a 2x2 base (I've seen two) and is supposed to be smaller than the regular Borg Cube (both in game and in universe). The digital mock-ups scaled them correctly to each other I believe.

Very much looking forward to the rest of the Borg ships as they come along.
