I didn't think about it until just now, but if you put it on only 3 characters, and start on the 3rd section, they'll get another +1D from the PF itself.

There were some threads about it. They pretty much all boiled down to, ahem, boil water to soften the plastic and glue, then pull very, very carefully.

i used it Tuesday with just Cyke and Namor's. It didn't feel all that OP. Letting your whole team use Invulnerable is just as bad as building a whole team with it... i think it's point cost offsets what it brings..

Post that question on their Facebook page, and see if you get blocked from posting, or they just remove the post entirely. That was my experience...

Fwiw, I still think this is going to be the "fun" resource. The buffs and powers are too random, but I love that.

Looking foward to putting it on an army of Jokers as soon as I can...

I played a Duhg's Army team with the Phoenix Force, leaving Namor's shard on the base so everyone could share his 20 defense.

Duhg (125)
Ulik (118) - Mystics from Range
Capwolf (100) - Invulnerability
Domino (69) - Ranged Combat Expert
Yellowjacket (41) - Telekinesis

And lost pretty handedly to my brother-in-laws Dugs's Army team featuring Splitlip/BOS. Domino did reach godhood, but she was almost dead when she did and she couldn't push and could still be outwitted. It was a real fun game, but I didn't think the resource was broken.

Then I played in AVX1 in an out-of-town venue and took out a Hawkeye T-Bolted to defenders with Cyclops' RCE shard, carrying CW Ant-Man with the Defenders Shard. Together they're basically a 12 attack, 9 range, 20 defense 5 damage brick in stealth. I had War Machine Prime/Sharon Carter and he should have switched his T-Bolt to Avengers Initiative, but really wanted that 20 D. He had iron fist charge me for 1 damage which put me on Pulsewave. Once I pulsewaved hitting only Hawkeye (ignoring his stealth and ATA) for 5 damage, it was a wrap lol.

Again, it's a solid resource and actually a lot of fun with some abuse potential, but no where near the Book/Lip combo.

Are resources new to you? I mean, Invulnerability for the whole team is nice and all but is it really better than something like the Power Plant where your whole team can get Stealth, and +1 stats? Or Book of Skulls where your whole team can have +2 attack, and gobs of other Bonuses? I don't think so. I think when PF is all said and done it will be a good option but won't even be the best resource out there.

I hate to break it to you, but there's nothing "non-comic-accurate" about her Capture ability. She does not have that ability, so if you think that she is more comic-accurate by not having the ability, then you, my friend, are in luck.

The Dark Phoenix has the ability, but the Jean Phoenix does not.

Many people playing during AW time just assumed that the figure had it. All previously released 2x2 colossals at that time were able to do it. People had just mistakenly equated having Capture as being part and parcel with being a colossal. They did the same thing with Multi-Attack.

I was able to coax the shards off their bases. Barry White, a little Dom, soft, supple fingers...

But seriously, mine were stuck and it just took a bit of patience and wiggling.

Well if there is one thing heroclix have proven they lack, its patience...perhaps we could get a resource that grants it.

The argument of "This isn't bad because X is worse" is a logical fallacy. OP is correct in saying that the PF, like all resources, is OP.

However, this is nothing new, so it's hard to feel sympathetic toward OP's gripes.

All of you saying this is just going to end up as a "fun" resource are really going to be eating those words by the time this whole event is finished and the next tournament with them has its results released.

I mean, for 2 more points than the Gauntlet, you can assign it to five characters rather than just one, and give each of them so much extra stuff just to start out.

I'm not going to keep making my argument, it's just, if you play against a well built team using the PF to the fullest, you'll realize how crazy powerful it is.

Sure, you can give it to the Joker and Harley Quinn and thugs and have a goofy army, but if its used in as utilitarian of a way as possible, it's decimating. Even just giving five people sidestep is insane.
