Remember that these reviews are based around sealed play. In constructed, some of them will offer more playability.
QFT. Just about any figure is good in constructed.

Excellent review, and a nice surprise. I forgot about the Primers and was immediately cheered when I sat down at work tonight and brought this page up on the computer, lol. This article is always one of my favorite reads when a new set comes out, so thanks for keeping it going! I want to be able to disagree with some of the low ratings given here, but I can't really. These are some pretty cool concepts, but some of the numbers just hold them back. Especially when, like you referenced, you consider the rest of the set figures they will be facing in sealed. Looking forward to the rest of your Primer reviews for SLoSH!
You mentioned the Triplicate girl Trip-packs, but also, everyone should be aware there are many reported theme booster packs. I myself pulled a Superboy, Cosmo, Colossal Boy, Shadow Lass, and Timber Wolf booster. I've heard there are Toyman w/toy boosters, and LoD themed boosters as well. Pulling those in sealed will provide a bonus to many people over those who don't pull so well coordinated boosters.

Hey, that was one of my boosters too. Might have run with a full Legion team if our event had been 400. Instead, teamed up Superboy and Bizarro.
You can pull off an easy Future team too, if you're looking at a mix of Legionnaires, Legion villians and SciPol in your boosters too.
Matter-EaterLad Snack List: Time Gem, Remaker
Etrigan Prime Transformation List: Blackhawk Pilot, Per Degaton
Great review as always M0use.
Not being a huge DC fan - I am planning to avoid this set - however your 4 star reviews will influence which singles are worth chasing down through trades and the 2nd hand market!
Looking forward to the upcoming C, R, SR and Chases!
I know my son really misses that information on the card. It was a great way to promote interest in the characters and the comics.
Anywho - some of what you said I can agree with. At the archaic 300 point build (curious how many players played a 300 point sealed - I haven't in a few years. They've always been 375 to 500) some of those support pieces are pricey.
The only 2 I disagree with as being at least a star short is Timberwolf and Giganta. Brin's 6/7 range movement gets him in fast and that 19 defense / 18 on hindering makes him pretty tough to hit. Free action regen if he attacks is a sweet option - and with so much Invincible, its sometimes worth hitting someone for 2 even with flurry blades.
Unless you have Giganta who can see over him and out that Invincible. Her punching someone with ES/D 4 squares away is just evil. HSS pieces that want to Pulse-Wave her have to move even further to get out of her smack-down range.
I've had lots of success with giants so the whole "they get shot down as they walk across the board" just hasn't rung true outside of that Bridge Map. If you pull a toy or other tiny figure, she can carry it with her dropping it off 10 squares away to tie up said ranged piece.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Interesting about the Science Police. If Charge and Running Shot are impacted, we played him wrong. We were mostly worried about Outwit and the order of events to make sure we did not trigger the effect. Free before non-free vs non-free before free. Overall, I do not think it would have impacted the overall game but it is worthy to note how this does impact things like Charge, Running Shot, Hypersonic and even Sidestep followed by an attack.
Most Wanted:DC Super Friends - El Dorado, Rima.
Finish the classic Legion of Super-Heroes - Light(ning) Lass, Ferro Lad, Chemical King, Quizlet.
I feel you might've been a wee bit harsh on Giganta, but she does have a fairly big burden to overcome. I'm playing my first of three sealed games on Wednesday, so these come at a good time!

One complaint however: Surely you could have better defined Saturn Girl beyond who she is the girlfriend of. Give me 3 words instead that actually say something about her as an individual.
City of Heroes: @MsNightingale
SHS Online: Incredible Cosmic Shield
Let me say this about Cosmic Boy: while he has the double-TK, the power is HUGE on a wide-open map. You have to condition yourself to NOT think about the power as a means to get a first strike, instead consider these options:
Send a move+attack buddy in for an attack, and use 1 TK to yank the buddy back (I pulled Cosmic Boy with Lightning Lad and Timber Wolf in a single pack)
Toss objects at opponents. (This is an easy way to get two attack rolls!)
Move opponents out of position. (It is not often folks burn a TK attack to try this, but it is still a thing)
This guy also has the Legion Founder ATA printed on his card, This can be useful even if only a few figs can use it in sealed play.

That's a free action follow by a non-free. SPD wouldn't activate.

I misplayed it, too.
My pieces were taking damage right when the free action was given instead of after actions resolved - so a few pieces had their attacks suffer earlier than they should have.
Remember, if you perform a free action AND THEN perform a tokenable action, the Sci-Po ability doesn't activate. So Outwit that joker and then shoot / punch him.
Still - while I like how the ability does hurt lots of beastly pieces - the fact it has a range of 8, requires no Line of Fire, is Unavoidable, works more than once a turn, and is on a 45 point piece is classic WK design fail. They just "fixed" the Police Cruiser and they give us this? Design facepalm.

Of all the bios in this section, hers was the one I had the most trouble writing. Mother of Validus? Wife of Garth? No matter what I seemed to do, I was defining her by her relationships with her teammates, or struggling by narrowing her down into one version due to the continuity problems that plague the Legion, and thus saying something both true and false (like the fact that Validus is and isn't her son, or that she may have married and had children with the Legion "pet" mascot, Proty).
I think she was created in a time when a lot of girl characters were defined by relationships, and since that's what I'm familiar with that's the direction I went, and I apologize.
Murderer of infinity man? Does that work?
Tidge? Rock? A little help here?
Let me throw the ball back in your court, and ask you to define her in three words

I would rate the figure .
I was really on the fence with Rokk, and what it came to for me as a deciding vote was the opening 9 av. He's not going to push to a better AV because of the indomitable, well at least not unless you want him to.
I suppose I may have misread the SP. I am under the impression that you'd have to resolve the two TKs before giving another an action, which was a factor as well. If you can burn one to fling out, then attack, then burn the second to reel the attacker back in, well that is something worth mentioning.

Your initial impression was correct. You cannot do that.
