Not sure if this anecdotal evidence means anything to XW players, but...

When I've played Deep Space 9 in AW, we've found that the 3x3 area is really not enough room. Most success has come from using a 4x6 play area which is what most Warhammer game tables are set at so many game stores should have tables of this size available.

I'd suggest trying out the table and just mark off 1 foot on each end. That should give you the 4x4 you are thinking about, rowdy. Obviously if the 4' width is good, you can always tinker with the length you want since the table is 6'.

Edit... OK, just had to share my excitement earlier. Now I'm actually taking a look at it. The detail is pretty amazing. Love the scenarios. Still reading through the rules, but can't wait to try it out!

So Hair... the first time you field it and make a maneuver... is it mandatory by way of the game rules to state that "The first transport is away" when you complete the move action?

I got to play Porkins as part of my squadron last week. I really like him. His ability isn't game-breaking, but it can be very useful, and it's perfectly appropriate to the character!
