Easy solution. You can buy large custom dice (4 or 5) and make stickers on a printer to paste on. Obviously dont throw the large dice in the bag. Instead use one or two characters not on your team like say Punisher and Phoenix (when you pull Punisher/Phoenix just roll the jumbo proxy die instead).
Chessex for example makes blank dice, but there are multiple alternatives.

So it's sold out everywhere? I mean, is the game not available in K-Mart, Wal-Mart or Target?
I was hoping to pick up a starter pack, but my local comic store told me he can't order them. I was going to check the retail stores but are they not there?
For whatever it's worth:
The weekend after it came out, I hit a bunch of Target stores. One had an empty peg for starters, and an empty display of boosters. The other two had nothing, not even empty pegs or displays.
This past weekend, I rode my bike up to one of the Targets that hadn't had any product, with the intent to buy a bottle-holder for my bike. I decided to check the collectibles section, and lo and behold, there was a nearly full display of boosters and an empty peg for starters.
So, apparently, Target stocking of this product fluctuates based on location, but it would seem that Target is not out of it. Keep checking Target, I guess.
I actually recommend printing this out as opposed to the official versions. The direction arrows help a lot.
That actually is the official version that sort of comes inside the starter rulebook. Someone just formatted it so people can print it out (which was a great idea).
The playmat that you can buy won't have the arrows, but you can make your own using the official Wizkids version from the one in the starter rulebook. That's what I did. I agree that the guidelines do help.

From third parties (so all hearsay), it's not an IP problem with WK - apparently he has a good relationship with WK.
So all we can infer is that he's tired of maintaining a website for which there are not much revenue. I mean, he can't charge us a subscription to access trademark protected IP owned by someone else, so that means ads, and with ad blockers predominating, that's a hard row to hoe.
Some of my local player group have tried to contact him about possibly purchasing his database/programming and I have web space I could throw at this, but so far, no responses.
