Pulse Waving through the Falcon TERRAIN would create a game state that can't exist, because you then ignore the Falcon TERRAIN. (Due to Pulse Wave ignoring all terrain except walls, blocking and elevated)
Incorrect.
2014 rulebook page 18:
If ignoring a game effect would cause a situation where that game effect would not be ignored, then you do not ignore that game effect.
Ignoring the Falcon marker would mean that you are no longer Pulse Waving through it, which would mean that it would no longer be ignored. Because of that rule in the rulebook the marker will not be ignored in this situation at all.

Ok, well my secondary argument is not invalid, and I thought that might be the case.
However, as follow up.
1) Where does is say on the falcon that you can create areas of effect? It only says count range and draw Lines of Fire. Pulse wave does indeed draw Lines of Fire, fine, but it does not count range. I creates an AoE that is equivalent to half the character's range. Important distinction.
2) Also, even IF you can Pulse Wave through the Falcon, does that now create 2 areas of effect? (One around the Falcon and one around Iron Pharaoh) The falcon does not say "Iron Pharoah can count range and draw lines of fire INSTEAD..."
Also, has anyone actually e-mailed the rules email yet? Seems kinda silly to argue about it when we can just ask the question and get it answered.
You know how Copycat can't steal a Prime character if you already have one on your team? Why? Because it would create a game state that can't exist.

This is incorrect. Copycat can take a prime if you have one on your force. Her effect is basically a prolonged Mind Control.
As for the question at hand I'm going to assume the OP was trying to Pulse Wave from both The Falcon and Iron Pharaoh which is illegal.

PULSE WAVE
Give this character a ranged combat action even if it is adjacent to an opposing character; the area of effect for this attack is half the character’s range value. Draw lines of fire to all other characters within the area of effect, including at least one opposing character; these lines of fire ignore all game effects except for walls, blocking and elevated terrain. Game effects possessed or used by characters with a line of fire drawn to them are ignored until the action has been resolved. If a line of fire is drawn to more than 1 character, this character’s damage value becomes 1 and is locked. Each character hit is dealt damage.
Just got back from Origins where I played in two of the team up where the judges ruled I could not pulse wave through falcon. Iron Pharaoh was possessed by Ophidian. What are your thoughts on this ruling?
My thoughts are you got hosed.
I would rule it that Pharaoh could PW through the Falcon.
I will rule it this way until an Orange can tell me how it should be different.

Um, why does it matter if it would "ignore the special terrain marker"? It draws lines of fire FROM that square, not THROUGH it. That is a non-point. The 2 questions I think would be relevant are A) Does it use Pharaoh's range instead of the 3 max on the falcon? And B) Does he pulse wave from both the falcon and from himself?
Was this announced, or did they just kinda slink away? I noticed the absence, but I kinda figured it was just a "me" thing.
I still see no reason why one can't PW through the Falcon.
nah since they changed over to the new crew they just have not posted here much not sure if it's just their way of handling things, but it is a poor choice.

I'm sure your wrong on that. Its like firing from a multi base character who can fire from any squares of its base choosing 1 or more. If u can draw line a fire from a square, u can pulse wave from it. Its no different than iron pharaoh having 2+ targets shooting from his sqaures and from the eagle. Its the same as poison ivy. The marker doesn't get the power, its iron pharaoh. He can't ignore his own power via pulse wave. http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showpo...4&postcount=11

Not sure how much clout the Oranges have anymore, but this is a response I received from Chrisdosmil a couple of weeks ago:
"1. The check for Primes and Uniques is continuously checked except when using Mind Control. You can't swap for a Prime if you already have one on your force or a Unique if you have the same Unique on you force.
2. Vehicle Pilots must be friendly when chosen during force construction. The swapped character would never be allowed to become a pilot.
3. Copycat's effect only ends if one of the three specific criteria is met. It does not end any other way."
Also, I remember a while ago that it was ruled that you COULD Pulse Wave through the falcon token, just like EVA and Astral Dr. Strange, but since the falcon token is not a character, you could do a single target Pulse Wave. For me, I didn't know this ruling has changed, but apparently it has (?) at Origins... or are they just wrong?
